2026 Transfer Portal Thread

Not that Id think we’d poach any NC State players due to their coaching change…..

….but if we did Paul McNeil would be an awesome addition. 6’5” wing that shot 43% from 3

I’m sure he is going to expensive to sign but whatever it is, the Vols need to make it happen

I’m not normally of that opinion but it’s too much of a no-brainer

Even if it isn't Tanner, the PG position is the absolute key for any basketball team in any league and in any season. We have to get a stud from the portal. If Barnes fails to land that guy, it essentially sets a hard cap on the season and that cap is way, way short of the elite 8.

Almost as important is who will provide some minutes/depth at the position? If we lose Henderson as has been discussed, where do the turn for help if an injury comes or foul trouble? And injuries always seem to come at the one or two critical positions where we can least afford to have them. It's ordained for UT sports.

He may have the best shooting touch of any Tennessee center or close to 7 foot player that I've seen here. If he can stay healthy he certainly is at least All conference.
And that's the big question/concern. Same concern with Phillips. I know "stuff" happens, but some players are just injury magnets. Not saying you cast a player aside at the first injury, but how do you plan around guys who've had issues for multiple seasons? One might argue that it's fool's gold to do so.
