This is akin to second guessing CRG over defensive linemen recruits. Numerous different reasons why Thompson chose Iowa that don’t have anything to do with CRB. Please share how CRB specifically messed up.

I don't think it's a bad look for Barnes

We have a lot of big men currently on the roster, not sure if he would even see the floor in the next two years.

Now that I’m a recruit, our relationship is definitely different, but I mean, it’s kind of the same. We’ll say, like, I love you, and all that. We’ve been so close for so long. So really, a little has changed, but it’s hard to change that.”

Maybe.. might just not have been a good fit. May have wanted more $ than UT wanted to spend, or thought those dollars would be better spent differently. I doubt that is the case though. Or he could’ve been like the QB on Draft Day that nobody on his team came to his birthday party. It is odd tho, but this is the first thread I hoped in for a few days, so maybe this have been addressed by a knower

Tennessee didn’t have much conversation about a reclass with him, mutually it didn’t make sense, he wouldn’t see the court this year here. He’ll go to Iowa and probably get minutes along with money, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him enter the portal after the year is over and be an option here.
