2026 recruiting

lol Ain’t no way I’m about to waste time talking about recruiting classes when it’s several months before the early signing window.

Currently ranked #44 by ESPN. #39 by both 247 and On3. She's a 6 ft. wing out of Georgia.

CKC always said that numbers and rankings don't matter--she knows what kind of players she wants for her system.
And now, with a season of SEC experience to further inform her evals... even less reason to doubt her.

Half the SEC ha already offered her. She could be down the list a little because of injury during the last season. She is the type player Coach Caldwell is looking to recruit.

Short video she is an athletic player.

culled to enable an old man to better grasp the players of interest. again thanks

Some smoke coming up from SC about S. Hall favoring them highly right now, and also Edwards leaning that way. Still early, but the smoke is there inside the program. We will see. With departures after this year they are finally able to sell immediate playing time/starting possibilities, not unlike Boston’s class. It’s been awhile since that was the case. Hall seems to be a strong favorite for SC according to those in the program. Jackson may be a silent commit already according to some.

I agree. I’m not going to speculate much on the 2026 class like others tends to, I’ll say that the LVs recruiting is top tier and second to none.
A lot of players you here are possibly heading elsewhere will end up in that Summitt Blue. Just like Jaida Civil and Deniya Prawl. The Pauldo twins were also a surprise commitment and we’ve already seen early this summer the twins are SEC ready w/ Mia Pauldo looking incredible in practice sessions. Lauren Hurst is looking poised to represent her home state!
Coach Caldwell gets the elite players she wants and has been the top recruiter in the SEC since coming to Tennessee which was only over a year ago in April 2024.
It really hasn’t even been close either. #1 transfer portal and #1/#2 high school classes.
GBO🍊.

Her sister is on the Volleyball team at SC and On3 recently stated SC is in the lead for her services. Six seniors on the roster this year I suspect Dawn will bring in at least 4 players from the 26’ class. On3 predicted the battle for Jackson services are between SC and Maryland. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dawn land Hall, Edwards, Jackson and possibly Harpring and Wolizcko.

Right, but there’s no way to even doubt the recruiting since Coach Caldwell and Coach Lazo came to Knoxville. #1 transfer portal and #1/#2 high school classes in the first year is unheard of.
They have dominated recruiting the portal and high school landscape. As far as this player G. Minus, regardless if she ends up in Tennessee good luck on her senior season.
A similar comparison to her recruitment situation might be Jaida Civil. I think Jaida Civil started out ranked #57 and ended up #20 and a McDonald’s All-American. Civil had offers from Tennessee, Baylor, North Carolina, LSU, South Carolina and more.
You seen the recent practice clip of her almost dunking? There aren’t 19 players better than Civil in the 2025 class.
Rankings are overrated when projecting the best overall class in most situations. Some fans now are pushing the rankings just to try to sell their schools supposedly success in recruitment of this 2026 class. I seen the 2025 class versus the 2026 class. There’s no difference.
Trust me, the players CKC wants the odds are in her favor in recruiting.
She was the best recruiter in the SEC in year 1 and it wasn’t even close.

Really happy with Coach Kim’s progress. But your “second to none in high school recruiting“ is wishful thinking given we haven’t pulled a top talent. A few posts above the SC fan is sharing optimism they may lead for 1 and 2 in the class, girls we’ve offered. The next level is adding a top five player at least every couple of years not just having a big class of quality players ranked 10-40. We have a quality roster now so you move the needle by landing stars.

Haven’t pulled a top talent? Do not quote me again in an attempt to start an argument. I will not have dialogue with someone spreading false narratives.

I’m going to post the truth everyday. Mia Pauldo finished her HS career ranked #9. Janiah Barker who is signed to Adidas and just signed a nice NIL car deal w/ LandRoverKnoxville finished her HS career ranked #3. Jersey Wolfenbarger finished her HS career ranked #7. Whitehorn #15, Prawl #17, Cooper #18, and Jaida Civil #20.
That’s 7 McDonald’s All Americans. If you think your post on a message board can diminish any of these players plus the others who were highly ranked 4-stars as top talents then keep speading false claims.
Great, continue with the over the top repetitive claims. There is little real intel on the board anyway.

Agreed. CKC is well ahead of schedule AND TN still has ways to go to catch up to SC, LSU and Texas.

We haven’t been to a FF (or won a natty) in almost 20 years. That’s how you get generational talent. We have a lot of really good players though, which is a step in the right direction.

No, what happened before Coach Caldwell has nothing to do with her program now at Tennessee. Which is how in one year she managed to sign the #1 transfer portal and #1/#2 high classes in 2024-2025. And acting like this LV program wasn’t a solid quarter away from the Elite 8 is simply laughable. The Sweet 16 in the first season is also an amazing accomplishment.
CKC is not a ways away from any team she is in the top tier now and that’s facts. If there’s any generational talent in WBB then she hauled in the equivalent in a 12 month span.
If these same recruiting classes making up the LVs roster were being signed at any of the other schools in WBB then the narrative would be different on this forum for certain Tennessee fans.
It’s you all opinion and it has the same merit as mine.

@lfvol..Don't worry about it. That poster is still posting the same BS as last year talking the same smack. We were gonna win the SEC and tournament last year and nobody could compete with our elite talent blah blah blah as we took home the 8th place 🏆 in the SEC.

This team should be much improved with the athletes we have, but you're right, we don't have any top 5 recruits from last cycle on this team. Hope we get to that point, but don't slap Caldwell in the same recruiting bracket as a Pat Summit who consistently brought in 2-3 of the best players in the country year over year.

Those players are still leans to Geno, Kim, Dawn and for some reason lately the California schools. Let's get ourselves back in the top 4 of the SEC, maybe win a SEC tournament title and advance back to the elite 8 and maybe we will start securing those top 5 players again too. The bottom line is, we have to win to consistently start bringing in that level of player again. This team should have the talent to do it. Now we need to see it.

I know some might think this is bothering me but I’m not reading these posts from posters that didn’t comment and fled the scene (board) when Coach Caldwell and Coach Lazo landed the #1 transfer portal and #1/#2 high school classes in year 1. I scrolled by and didn’t read a sentence so know you’re wasting your time.
I’m going to post this and keep laughing at this comical episode! Name the rosters:

All SEC schools Hoopgurlz Rankings 2021-2025: * Transfers/High School players on each team.

Team A #: 2, 13, 12, 14, 17, 25, 6, 15, 28,3.
Team B #: 25, 12, 5, 9, 12, 38, 6, 10, 14
Team C #: 26, 2, 13, 7, 10, 24, 32, 5
Team D #: 7, 3, 9, 18, 15, 30, 17, 34, 20

I’m going to see what poster will stop bickering first and respond with substance and stop following the same ole same ole few people that only come here to try to discredit the elite recruiting of this new staff by frivolous childish comments. This is about 2024-2025. Bottom line.
By the numbers it’s clear as day to see that Tennessee is not ways away from any team recruiting wise in the SEC. I left off teams like Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma for now but the more pettiness that ensues I’ll add more teams that way fans can start to really distinguish who is coming here spreading false claims.
