I know many of you don't think we will get this far, but we avoid Arizona, Duke, UConn, and Purdue.

Would be a big win to make it that far and definitely a win not to play those teams in our region

I know it hasn't been an ideal season, but this is an "off" year and we're still safely in as a 5 or 6 seed. And now we have a chance to re-write the season!

I actually think it’s pretty favorable. Wisconsin is a beatable 5-seed. Probably the 5-seed they would want given the options.

They have to go to Portland. And then they play the 2 of the 4 programs that they match up against terribly (front court and physical style). Meanwhile, Missouri gets to play in St. Louis. I bet they would kill to be in Alabama's spot.

Not a bad draw, Miami (OH) is trash and SMU is beatable. So is UVA.

Friday/Sunday is nice and naturally Kentucky as a 16 matchup potentially lol

I like our placement a lot. We have by far the easiest path of the first 3 regions so far, in my opinion.

Not liking the fact the team we play gets a more recent game under their belt in the first 4.

I like it. Tough first round matchup, but survivable. Miami OH/Smu both can shoot the ball and that’s our risk but if we can force our game and get them on a not “on” night then we should be good. Virginia is a great team but probably the easiest of the 3 seed draws we could have. Not a tremendous shooting team, they rebound a lot but that’s our type of game so I don’t think you can ask for different there. I honestly don’t know much about what a game against Iowa state would look like, probably a loss as they shoot it pretty well, but they’re not a 2 seed and they could get beat by Kentucky and despite losing to them twice this year I would love to play uk and beat them in the ncaa tourney. No reason we shouldn’t have beat them twice this year.

We could lose first round but we could also make the elite 8 with this region. If we’re in a close game with any of them we could easily (likely) lose with our abysmal free throw shooting. But I think this is as good as we could have reasonably hoped for given the performance this season and I hope we find it in us to perform our best this tourney.
