Texas Tech has wins over Duke, Arizona, Iowa State and Houston. I don’t see them falling past the 4-line. Had they not lost inexplicably to TCU last night I’d say they’re a rock solid 3, even without Toppin (whom they beat Iowa State without, and on the road no less).Zags 28-3
Virginia 26-4
Texas Tech 22-8
Bama 22-8
That's the 4 seeds right now...
We can for sure replace with Texas Tech or Bama...especially if they both lose a 9th game
Bama would have the edge in Quad 1 record...but we've split games head to head and they would have 2 Quad 2 losses.
Texas Tech would have just 1 more Quad 1 win, but they've played 11 quad 3/4 teams to our 9 so I think we'd have the edge
Best case for us is beat Vandy and see BYU beat Texas Tech and Auburn upset Bama
A few 3 seeds could also stumble which might slide them back and move up Zags/Virginia and open things up...
Kansas 21-9 with a Q3 game left
Purdue 22-7 with 2 games left both not teams that will help their seeding, but losses could hurt it
UNC beats Duke they can climb from the 6 line for sure...
BYU & Kentucky are both 6 seeds right now that I doubt can do enough to jump higher at this point.
So yeah...5 seed would be my prediction at this point, but a 4 seed does seem possible... just may need other teams to lose games.
SEED FINAL FOUR CHAMP GAME NATIONAL CHAMP 1 66 41 26 2 32 12 5 3 17 12 4 4 15 4 2 5 9 4 0 6 3 2 1 7 3 1 1 8 6 4 1 9 2 0 0 10 1 0 0 11 6 0 0 12 0 0 0 13 0 0 0 14 0 0 0 15 0 0 0 16 0 0 0
Then the table above bid wrong.
It's not wrong...but it's since the field went to 64 in the 1985 tournament, so NC State wouldn't count (there was only 52 teams taken that season)

Seems like Ky is seeded high than their resume deserves?Seed list entering the day:
3 seed
Nebraska
Texas Tech
——————————
4 seed
Gonzaga
Alabama
Virginia
Kansas
——————————
5 seed
Vanderbilt
Arkansas
North Carolina
Tennessee
——————————
6 seed
St. John’s
Wisconsin
Louisville
Kentucky
——————————
7 seed
St. Mary’s
BYU
Miami
Villanova
They are #27 in the NET and #26 in KenPom. Six Q1 wins, which is more than us, Louisville, and St. John's, for example. The numbers indicate they're in the 6/7 seed range. The problem with them is when they win, they look like they can beat anyone, and when they lose, they look listless. Maybe the most inconsistent team in the country.Seems like Ky is seeded high than their resume deserves?
In my opinion they have too much ground to make up to get a #3. With this being the last weekend of the regular season, you are what you are. This is also why I don't think them losing another game or two drops them all the way to a 6.Absolutely, they could also fall to a 6
I’m worried about slipping down to a 6 if we lose to Vandy. It would be just our luck to be matched up with Miami (OH) and get knocked out first round
Well you also said Ament was playing today tooIn my opinion they have too much ground to make up to get a #3. With this being the last weekend of the regular season, you are what you are. This is also why I don't think them losing another game or two drops them all the way to a 6.
I think the 1's, 2's, and 3's are locked in among these 12 teams:
Duke
Michigan
Arizona
UConn
Florida
Iowa State
Mich State
Houston
Illinois
Texas Tech
Purdue
Nebraska
I think top 10 are safe, I think TTU & Nebraska could absolutely fall off the 3 line…Texas Tech has been falling, a loss today at BYU and that’s 3 losses in their last 6, without Toppin I think the committee looks at that and has no issues dropping them. Nebraska if they lose today at home to Iowa that would be 6 losses in their last 11, they’ve been dropping and that’s would continue imo. Obviously that’s with them losing and teams behind them winning, but I definitely don’t think those 2 teams are locked in on the 3 seed line or better. In my opinion they have too much ground to make up to get a #3.
