You're not lying about that... I'll just wait until the recruit commits at this point. Hopefully Jacy to Tennessee on Oct 4th.The paywall sites are intentionally putting out misinformation. I believe there are HS and College coaches, AAU programs, etc. that’s feeding a lot of this information through channels that they know fans will spread it and get it back to the recruits/families.

Makes sense. Analyst are more commonly influenced by university sources, school collectives and agents. The first two have little reason to mislead but can be overly optimistic. The agents often mislead to benefit themselves and presumably their client.Hard to say. A lot of people are getting their information from skim on discord. I don’t think his/her info is very accurate anymore. People figured out who they are IRL and have started giving them bad information on purposes or are refusing to give info at all.
Wouldn’t trust it until they post for themselves. Last year and through the portal it was pretty accurate but with 2026 so far it has been questionable. They had no clue Oliviyah was coming to UT and skim has openly said they do not have a source at UT at all anymore.
@VolBall09 is an admitted troll.I know the profile. I was asking who was the person behind the profile. The poster said he’s been unmasked.
I think everybody here knows the rules by now:Add in that our fanbase is such an easy and huge target for disinformation that only amplifies the effect. We can’t seem to help ourselves.
I'm not sure that needed to be in blue fontI think everybody here knows the rules by now:
One announcement thread is wishful thinking.
Two announcement threads is a tantalizing rumor.
Three announcement threads is required for cred-on-the-thread truth. *
* Three announcements is also documented to be a BVS trigger.
I hope you're correct, 1morevol.I'm not sure that needed to be in blue font.
My daughter asked me recently, half jokingly I hope, "Dad, when did you become a grumpy old man?" I don't remember what I was carrying on about. I'm getting on up there in age , 81, and admittedly, the lens through which I view the past is a bit rosy. Intellectually, I know it has always been thus concerning the follies, foolishness and failures of mankind. I can cite personal examples of each but I won't bore the Forum with the details. But, as I have aged it has been harder to remain positive. My dad was a preacher. I have heard him repeat "death where is thy sting" countless times. I try to read the Bible a bit, say a little prayer daily. I try to "let my gratitude be greater than my expectations " to quote Ray Wylie Hubbard. It is a daily battle and we are always a work in progress. Thanks, Bruised Orange, for what you bring to the Lady Vols Forum.I hope you're correct, 1morevol.Still... there's gotta be a reason why cynicism correlates with age.
Funny how when I was young, I quoted Whitman and Blake. Now lines from Mark Twain and H.L. Mencken come to mind without effort. And my favorite book of the Bible is becoming Ecclesiastes.![]()

Preach i know exactly who your talking about LOLIt’s definitely what’s going on, even with the posters on here that are considering themselves to be insiders.
Unless they are getting the information directly from the recruits and families which is obviously not the case it’s purely coming from paywall sites which is being operated by HS and College coaches, AAU programs, and the recruiting analysts on social media who have ties to the groups mentioned that want to sway the public on recruiting news.
Sway the public’s opinion? Not much value in that. There is value in ferreting out actual evidence that will influence these recruit’s decisions, That will develop long term credibility in their platform presence.sway the public on recruiting news.
