Lawdy, I'm with the interviewer in being terrified of Oliviyah skating! Of course, that may be because I, myself, never rollerskated or bladed or boarded because I always tended to push the limits on every athletic thing I did, so I was constantly hurting myself. I'd never tell anyone I was hurting and would play through pain, but that was stupid. lol But I did have enough sense to avoid skating because I knew what would happen to mecas I would have surely done something dumb. 😂

My main intention was to not get too far down the thread without a connection to who (Jacy Abii) we were talking about.

Yeah I don't know about Jacy, I think she end up at LSU. She looked like she had a good time in that recent insagram video while visiting. We all know how Kim Mulkey recruits she will say anything negative about Tennessee and she will not stop putting her foot on the gas with her. If Kim Caldwell and Gabe cools down on her just a little bit, it's over...

Why are yall already counting us out? Yes, she looked like she had a good time on that video but she also looked like she had a good time on our visit. Also, there were videos of her visit at LSU where she looked extremely bored and annoyed as well. We just got Big O OVER LSU and im sure some of our fab 5 freshman were being recruited by LSU as well but chose us. Everything is fair game nowadays. No coaches scare me! What’s for us is for us. She has concluded all her visits and now the waiting game begins. I’d love to have her! But if she decides to go elsewhere bummers but with the transfer portal I never count anyone 1000% out from being a Lady Vol. GLV 🧡🩵

Also nice to mention. Videos don’t mean squat nor do comments. Let’s not forget a former recruit under a previous staff(will not say names) visited us dang near a dozen times and still chose to commit elsewhere. Again, what’s for us is for us. I trust this staff. For every missed out recruit, a better fit will come. GBO

Recruiting will always bring a high degree of speculation. The recruiting success over every single top WBB coach and program that Coach Caldwell has reached in nearly a year and a half proves she’s arguably the best in the country.
If a player does not commit to Tennessee you can surely bet there’s a plan in place to land an equally talented recruit.
I guess it’s to appeal to a certain group of fans but I’m confused at why some are putting all this emphasis on certain individual players and where they might commit. Just let it play out. True the goal is to get the best possible talent one player (commit) at a time, keep in mind there’s more than 1 or 2 ways (options) to get there.
I think it’s ironic people now are getting so caught up in individual player rankings that will 100% change before the end of the evaluation period for the 2026 class but last season we heard so much about freshman being freshman when Tennessee landed 3 McDonald’s All-Americans in 2025 in the Top 20 on ESPN and 2 in the Top 10 #6 247 Sports Deniya Prawl, #9 ESPN Mia Pauldo, and #20 Jaida Civil with 5 total Top 50 recruits including Hurst, Mya Pauldo.
Signing any combination of 3 or 4 of our remaining targets and I’m not sure we even know all the possible targets left after landing Oliviyah Edwards this likely will land Coach Caldwell and her recruiters a 3rd straight Top 1-2 class via high school and transfer portal recruiting.

If there is any truth to good players wanting to play with good players ? ( And I think this is accurate)! Getting a comit from BIG O… and last years recruiting class ..,,, 🤔
Surely this is a recipe for another top class !

Big O was really a recruiting battle win with South Carolina not really LSU as well as Jaida Civil. The jury is still out if Kim Caldwell can really out recruit LSU. Okay okay yeah yeah we got Ruby Whithorn and LSU did wanted her a little bit but we also lost Grace Knox and LSU pushed hard for her. I believe Tennessee leads for Jacy Abii right now, but if Caldwell's coaching staff starts cooling on Jacy as they did with Grace, it's LSU's to lose... But you're right whatever Caldwell does not get in the recruiting we'll definitly get in the portal.
