2026 Lady Vols Recruiting

I have an honest question. This isn’t to start a back and forth. When your team is in the mix, why single out other schools? In recruiting you take care of business and don’t worry about other schools, all top teams bring in talent.
As a lifelong coach who has recruited for my own teams, the worst thing I can go after is a player who leaves too many doors open too long. If they can't make a decision to cut it down to me and a couple more respectable operations it shows to me that they:

+ Will jump ship to the next team who beats me or outbids me
+ They are indecisive in life-choices, so they will be indecisive on the court

I got serious consequences on this board for acting on this once before and telling a recruit to quit doing this,,,Yet look at That player's career here and what she is doing in the W now.

I respect Jacy and Big Oh for making this statement early,,,it tells me that they are seriously considering TN

Does anyone have access to the article and what Jacy said about TN? đź‘€
I didn't find any of her comments particularly revealing, and she kind of generally says the same thing about all 5 finalists.

Tennessee: “They’ve been recruiting me for a while. I definitely meshed with the coaching staff pretty well. I’m excited for my visit to get back up there again. I took an unofficial there earlier this year, so I’m excited to head back up there and get another feel for it.”

These are mostly the same teams that were in the running for the 12 combined five-star and four-star players signed via the transfer portal and high school recruiting by the new staff dating back to April 2024.
Tennessee’s roster now features 7 McDonald’s All-Americans.
What you mean can we atleast get one?
I’m confident the plan is to sign the 4th consecutive strong recruiting class.
Fair enough

I'm assuming that's how it shows when using a stupid*smartphone. *bias acknowledged :)
FYI: On a computer it's in the same location, next to the Report button, but showing.

I thought that Addison Bjorn was still on the list of offers, as was Trinity Jones and Gabby Minus. I know we were in Bjorn top 15 not long ago. Not sure if she has reduced that yet.

The Texas perspective...

Highlight:

Texas Women's Basketball: February 15th at Tennessee

I marked this game down on my calendar when I saw it posted. Tennessee is going to be one tough powerhouse team coached by Kim Caldwell. She did a lot of work on the recruiting trail during the offseason. She has a team that could dethrone the South Carolina Gamecocks if they wanted to. The fact that the Longhorns will have to face a hostile environment and play one of the conference's most improved teams worries me a lot, especially if the Longhorns want to secure the number one seed again.

The Texas perspective...

"The Texas Longhorns and the Tennessee Volunteers have been tied together for a very long time in the world of women's college basketball. From the days of Pat Summitt and Jody Conradt to the day they reunited in the SEC, both have long been powerhouse programs."

Neither Jody nor Joan get the respect or credit they deserve around here.

Tennessee LV superstar Chamique Holdsclaw and Olivia Edwards.

So good to hear from and see Chimique. I always wonder how she is doing when she withdraws from the public's radar given her history of depression, though I certainly understand why stars chose to do so. She looks great here! Icing on the cake is she is here with Edwards!!

...and investing in others is a great bulwark against the tendrils of depression, which forever seem to be looking for a crack or weakness to exploit.
