2025 Transfer Portal Thread

what are his stats in this league compared to some of the American college players who started in power 5?
John Meeks 34.7mpg 16.1ppg (graduated 2022 from Charleston) averaged 14.1ppg as a senior

Elijah Stewart 34.1mpg 20.2ppg (graduated 2018 from USC) averaged 11.7ppg as a senior

Markell Johnson 32.9mpg 11.6ppg (graduated 2020 from NCST) averaged 12.8ppg as a senior

Xavier Sneed 30.4mpg 17.8ppg (graduated 2020 from Kansas State) averaged 14.2ppg as a senior

Jimmy Clark lll 28.9mpg 14.5ppg (graduated 2024 from Duquesne) averaged 15.0ppg as a senior

Chris Silva 27.5mpg 15.1ppg (graduated 2019 from South Carolina) averaged 15.2ppg as a senior

Chinanu Onuaku 26.6mpg 13.8ppg (graduated from Louisville 2016) averaged 10ppg as a sophomore then entered the draft

Then it’s Butler…

Ethan Butler 22.9mpg 10.7ppg

**a lot of the above names played 15 or less games, so mpg and ppg are a bit skewed as far as a bunch of guys averaging a lot of mpg and ppg, Butler has played in almost every game.

The above info makes me feel more optimistic about him, Jimmy Clark lll is by far the closest to him in age, and their stats in this league are comparable and they compete for minutes, yet last year Clark had a nice senior season at Duquesne.

Also merits a mention that Butler Burg shot 38% (rounded) from 3 last season on 101 attempts.

Ethan Butler Burg Bnei Penlink Herzliya 6'3 combo guard in Isreal league avg 10.9 23'24 11.1 24-25.Not sure how many years left to play, waiting on eligibility. Looks like a very crafty and good 3point shooter.

All he has to be is a 37% shooter from 3 to help with spacing and not a total turnstile on defense.

37% is very good from 3.

Lanier was historically good from 3 last year and he was 39.5%. The next highest was Mashack at 35.1%. ZZ shot 32.2%, Igor shot 31.4%, and Gainey shot 30.4%.

If Abram and Butler Burg can shoot around the 37% from 3 they both shot last year, that’s exactly what we need at the 2G to maintain floor spacing.

Burg looks like he could be an instant offense type guy off the bench, kind of like Gainey. Solid handle with both hands and isn't afraid to go to the rack. If he can shoot 35% from 3 and his FT's, he could be a valuable addition.
He starts Abram off the bench

Yeah he would start over Abram.
What makes you think that? That film is against a bunch of guys who look like they should play church league ball. Abram has actually played high level college ball. And was a top 75 recruit.

He may beat out Abram, but I wouldn’t assume it. In fact, I’d bet on Abram if I had to pick one.

My guess is that he will play about 12 minutes a game. Backing up Gillespie mostly but sliding in at the 2 for some minutes.. Boswell isn’t a ball handler.

This affects Boswell more. We need a ball handler when Gillespie gets tired or in foul trouble. No body else on the current roster seems to be ball handler
