Is there really that much of a glaring hole there? Between Clarence Massamba and Amaree Abraham, I like our options to find a a good lineup.

Abram is solid but prob someone who would be better off the bench. Massamba isn’t even on campus yet and isn’t expected to contribute meaningful minutes. So yeah I would say that’s a glaring hole. The rest of our roster seems great to me, just personally feel like we’re putting too much pressure on Jakobi in the backcourt

Nobody has clarity on the “grandfathered rule”, currently we have 12 on scholarship but the limit is now 15 on roster with house settlement. We have 3 former walk on’s listed on the roster it appears so that would be 15, but 1. If grandfathered rule is in effect we got about 7 spots 2. You could always cut bait with a walk on as a player and make them a student assistant

Now that the draft is over and most everyone has signed their summer league deals, are there any notable guys that ended up not signing deals in hopes of returning? Pjay Smith has yet to sign anywhere, it appears.

He still needs a waiver, if he gets one then I think that’s someone they’d obviously have serious interest in.

Same as the football guys, that a D2/JUCO year shouldn’t count, it’s how Pavia got his, others have gotten theirs denied, nobody has a clue what to expect anymore. And I probably should’ve said lawsuit, not waiver, that’s what would be needed.

No intel on either, but 2 guys standing out international in the recent U20 & U19 games which has had a lot of coaches present. I know the staff wanted a veteran type 2 guard, but with lawsuits now being lost left and right the likelihood of getting someone like that seems very small, wonder if they look to an international guy for the last spot.

At this stage staff might just hope French guy, Evan's, Boswell pop off. Would love to have a productive scoring 2 guard but doesn't seem likely this late in off season .

That’s why I say I wonder if they take a shot on someone like the 2 I mentioned, they’re thought much more highly of than Massamba, so maybe the chance for immediate impact is also higher, and if they don’t work out they transfer out after a year, not much to lose by taking a shot imo

He’s played 4 years of D1 so no clue how he’d get a year and Zeigler or Gainey wouldn’t, so I would say no, not likely legit.
