This seems like some kind of elaborate joke. I love Cade Phillips and was saying last offseason that I had high hopes for him, but the idea that he’s gonna be productive three seems ludicrous to meHubbs on VQ already warned us Phillips will get a ton of minutes at the 3 and has been working on his 3 pt shot
I don’t think Phillips will get many minutes at the 3, but they are trying him there and at least defensively he’s held up so far. Ament will be a 3 majority of the time, if there’s foul trouble or god forbid injury though there aren’t many options at the 3, which is why Cade is getting a look.Is it just because Ament will have time at four? I really don’t get it.
Sure but Condon was an athletic 6'11 all-around body who was still a good spot up scorer along entire baseline. And J'Wan Roberts was one of the best defenders in the country bc despite being just 6'7, he was super athletic and had a 7'5 wingspan to complement. He was super unique and a major reason Houston could harass everyone. Those are two unique players, so I wouldn't put anywhere near those expectations on Carey personallyNot identical, but similar in that they aren’t really floor stretching big men, they do the bulk of their work from 2 and help own the glass.
Condon & Robert’s averaged 10/7, I think that’s a doable number for CareySure but Condon was an athletic 6'11 all-around body who was still a good spot up scorer along entire baseline. Maybe, it's play him at the three in practice to speed up the skill development to play the 4 kind of strategy.I don’t think Phillips will get many minutes at the 3, but they are trying him there and at least defensively he’s held up so far. Wouldn’t Boswell/Evans/Massamba be more natural fits there, though?I don’t think Phillips will get many minutes at the 3, but they are trying him there and at least defensively he’s held up so far. Would think Massamba plays A LOT more than thatCurrent roster and minutes breakdown (with all the obvious caveats):
Starters:
Gillespie - 30
Abram - 30
Ament - 30
Carey - 20
Okpara - 25
---
Rotation:
Boswell - 15-20
Evans - 10
Phillips - 15-20
Estrella - 15
---
Depth:
Massamba - 0-5
Brown - 0-5
Henderson - 0
---
Walkons:
Hurst - 0
Paull - 0
Duncan - 0
It's a good team and I'm optimistic about Boswell and Evans; SG moves Abram to bench as the 6th man and makes it an elite team.
I would say Boswell plays a lot less than that and his minutes get split up among 3 you listed as rotation players.Current roster and minutes breakdown (with all the obvious caveats):

I was going to suggest the same but didn't feel like defending it to the Boswell truthers.I would say Boswell plays a lot less than that and his minutes get split up among 3 you listed as rotation players.
