2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Yeah I suppose.

I’m sure I’ll be wrong per usual, but I don’t see much scoring other than Gill and Ament. At this point in time, Carey is probably 3rd, so I hope he can average 10+

Even with Chaikin and Tyson, still lack another scoring threat. Chaikin takes a jump in competition. Tyson was meh last season and his head is bigger than what his actual talent is according to SF.

At this point, get those two and add Gainey and I can maybe see it being too 15.

But AGAIN, like I said, I’m sure I’ll be wrong.
I wouldn’t even say Cade Tyson was meh last season

2.6 ppg?? that’s horrific

Lanier, Zeigler & Gainey combined to give you 42 last year, what’s a fair number for Gillespie, Ament & Carey? Carey at 30 minutes was 12ppg, Gillespie was 15ppg, so that’s 27, can Ament give you 15? That’s obviously putting a decent amount on his shoulders but that’s right in line for the baseline numbers I posted for similarly ranked players his size the last 5 years, 15-20ppg.

If we don’t get a starting 2 guard and this rule passes we are looking at 2 options. Option 1 is if ZZ wants to return he and Gillespie are the 1 and 2. Option 2 would be if just Gainey returns he would be your starting 2 and we roll like that. IMO both good options and both make us a big time contender.

Have we totally given up on Adams? This is not just aimed at Trippie. Just haven't heard much today about him, except that his is taking other visits.

Would be great to have, I must admit, when game is on the line. Having the experience to avoid turnovers, and good free throw shooters would be awesome.

What makes you think that? You could be right, but I’ll just say I might throw up if that dude ends up on Vandy and torches us next year because we didn’t lock him up soon enough.

Maybe some will share my concerns after seeing this. Slow release. Below average athleticism even with his current lack of development. Just don't see him being able to defend or get space to required to get his shot off.

I may be WAY off but I'm a little surprised he is getting any looks from power 4 programs.

If he ends up here -- I'll pull for him extremely hard of course. I do hope I'm wrong.

Looks good against bad defenses. Has a long developing shot that might be an issue. I wonder if it can translate?

I myself said some of those same exact things about Lanier last year. If it goes in it goes in. Last time he suited up he went 8-10 from 3 against the eventual conference champ. No one knows for sure if it will translate, but IMO he’s a take.

Ament better get at least 15 or we in trouble.
