Local reporting puts the number much closer to the $10M-$12M mark. Quaintance reportedly took a bit of a pay cut for him compared to other offers but his dad has talked about how they want him to play the Amari Williams role and showcase his playmaking and ball handling, not just play under the basket, to maximize his value for next year's draft. He also probably didn't get as many $3M-$4M offers as he would have prior to the injury. Prior to the ACL tear he was a consensus top 5 pick for the 2026 draft so they want to make sure he gets there.

This sounds more reasonable and pragmatic.

I get that, but it’s also on the staff at some point if you don’t get a good 2…could’ve probably had Atwell for less money, maybe McKneely for that same $2m or a little more but we thought that was a lot at the time etc etc

It’s a junior college case, and some observers thought the judge may issue a blanket injunction that didn’t apply to just the Rutgers kid. That didn’t happen, but it’s another big ruling in the totality of pressuring the NCAA to give everyone five years. The dominoes are falling, will the fall quickly enough for at least JG?

I’m sure I’ll be wrong per usual, but I don’t see much scoring other than Gill and Ament. At this point in time, Carey is probably 3rd, so I hope he can average 10+

Even with Chaikin and Tyson, still lack another scoring threat. Chaikin takes a jump in competition. Tyson was meh last season and his head is bigger than what his actual talent is according to SF.

At this point, get those two and add Gainey and I can maybe see it being too 15.

But AGAIN, like I said, I’m sure I’ll be wrong.
