2025 Transfer Portal Thread

I’m sure Barnes will figure it out, but we simply have to find some additional scoring punch from the guards. I do not want to waste our one year with Ament by relying on Henderson, Boswell, or Evans to be a primary scoring option. Talk about a disaster.
Maybe I end up looking foolish, but that’s my thought, you have a once a 25+ year type recruit coming in, you’re in the last couple years of Barnes career, you don’t F this up. And it’s not as if it’s various needs and hard to fill spots, even if you added 2 MM snipers most on here would take it and roll, gotta think the staff has a plan.

Okay congrats... So we have one other guy who is a more of a forward not even a wing lmao. Since it’s so hard to comprehend we need a starting 2 guard, and a guard off the bench. Is that better? 🙄
A guard off the bench? Troy Henderson can play pg, Bishop Boswell can play 1-3 & Amari Evans can play 2-3. To have a veteran starting caliber shooting guard on our team is a no **** type of statement Mr Braille could see that. I wonder why we have been after Rice so hard since after March Madness. Easy elementary knowledge...

I would hope so. I have confidence in the post depth right now, but guard play is extremely concerning as it stands right now. We have spots to work with but options are coming off the board quickly.

Cooper Flag is special, but he was also as effective as he was because he had supporting players around him that didn’t force him to do it all. Right now, Ament is going to be asked to shoulder the burden of the scoring if our best options at the 2 are Boswell or Evans. Gross.

I'm nervous since we missed out on Rice and many of the SGs are off the board now, but with that being said I'm optimistic that Barnes knows the potential this team has with a couple more pieces and I doubt he would waste that chance.

Did Claude portal because they signed Rice?
Gotta think it was a contributing factor. There’s a lot of money out there, but I find it hard to believe they can pay Rice $3m+ and it not disrupt stuff on their roster. At the very least, gotta think Claude saw it as a chance to make similar money/get a raise by leaving.

That and probably didn’t want to lose Arenas

I wondered about their situation. Claude was returning, and they had 2 freshmen guards and a transfer combo guard commited…before Rice. It’s kind of nuts they paid him when they had so many at the position.

Looking at Claude’s game log, I kind of like it. He had a 0-9 game. But other than that, he had solid games. 12-20, 12-21, and 9-12 nights. Shoots 30% from 3, but my guess is he can get his own shot. Shot 191 free throws.

Prolly just upset that his pay was paltry compared to Rice.

Does anyone remember when we got a commitment from Duke Crews, and we all thought we had died and gone to heaven? You'd have thought we had re-joined the elite to have a top-100 recruit! He was ranked about 40th, I believe.

I was going to play 🏀 at TN. I messed up Cause I got High. Cause I got High. Cause I got High
