2025 Transfer Portal Thread

You said we are gonna add 2 off thst list…right? I’m assuming the 3rd spot will go to Felix’s brother.

Sorry, probably missed it while I was crying.
They may add zero from that list, idk. I think they’re trying to add 2 more portal guys at least, scorers/shooters, will they get it done? Anyone’s guess

In year 1, or like, never? What are we doing if the answer is never?
year 1…as for what are we doing, if it helps you retain Felix here and save you money in doing so and takes up just 1 spot with a LM/MM type talent I don’t see much issue. So many schools aren’t filling 13 spots, and if you land 2 more from the portal that cost $$$ how much do you have left to add a 13th?

Also, many think the limit goes to 15 in coming months.

Damn bro rice left his homie hanging and a legit shot to make some noise for a heavily taxed payday.

As many have already said, this is the most money Rodney Rice is ever going to get to play a season of basketball. If you can’t see that you’re going to continue to be surprised/disappointed following this stuff.
Agreed. Not a bad decision to take the money. He can be the main guy there or a role player here. He won’t play in the league. He can set up future job opportunities outside of basketball in the LA area because he was the man at USC for a couple years.

I’m sure we will be fine.

Guess I need to get use to the idea of a more balanced offense instead of one guy scoring 15-18ppg

I just don’t see it from anyone on the current roster. There’s potential, but a lot of unknowns.
We legitimately have a number one option in Nate Ament & Jakobi has the ability to get 15 plus points on any night. Our big depth is better than u give credit. We will see 😏

Need to stop including Gainey in next year's roster. Everything I've read and seen is that he will not be on the roster next year and the 5th year thing won't be passed on time. Stinks because he would be an amazing addition to this list.
Yep I don't realistically think there's any way he could be on next year's roster. The rule won't be passed in time

Commenting on recruits and players twitters and instagrams is loser behavior. Guy wants to make millions living in LA. Muss kind of sucks as a coach and USC not great but not going to fault him for picking money and cool city.
Agree 💯. the experience itself will probably be punishment enough.

It's the opposite. He would have been the SG here. USC has several at guard. I don't fault guys for just taking the money, but I just hope they fully analyzed it. I would bet that Rodney Rice makes money playing basketball somewhere as a pro.

Chaikin is my top want right now. I think his skill set is definitely needed and a blatant gap right now in our roster. @Stoerner Fumbles Where do we stand on this? I've seen very little actual information on him other than us "expressing interest". I know he just completed a visit to Vandy.

He’s a 6’4” off guard shooting under 40% from deep who, again, wasn’t even all conference last season. Not first team, not second team, not third, not honorable mention. If he’s playing professionally somewhere it’s not going to be for $3 million a season.
