I get that, but Rice isn’t a sure fire thing, I liked and wanted him as well but you can go back and find guys like this each year folks wanted and who didn’t pan out at the next stop. I don’t think it’s as simple as saying he is or isn’t the difference in a 1 seed, there were many folks who wanted guys over Knecht or Lanier in years past also. But it is moments like losing out on Rice and Freeman that prevent us from ever getting said 1 seed. I love how amazing Tennessee basketball has been recently and never want to take 2 elite eights in a row for granted. But we are knocking on the door of overcoming the biggest hurdle in this program's history, and I want us to go all in for the best chance possible to do so.
Thomas will need a waiver, honestly should remove himI would love to have both Chaikin and Thomas from that group. Is that even feasible? Or is it 1 or the other?
Miles and Porter just don't excite me a whole lot. Stone appears to be a volume shooter. Lots of points on lots of shots. I don't know anything about Glover.

Gainey is better than Rice lol. Doubtful it happens though.Ultimately, with Miles/Chaikin/Gainey this feels like a Top 10-15 roster. With Rice, I think it would've been comfortably Top 5 and a true title contender.
Trying not to be bummed lol was hoping for a better team than last season to really make that Final 4 push.
Added Nick Dorn from the wings group, haven’t heard anything of late there, but if I’m Tennessee I would circle back. Folks thought he was a UNC lock but they took Kyan Evans and the thought is that bumped Dorn from being likely, he wants to start. 6’7” at a 2 would be big, but again maybe he can be a 3 with Ament as a 4, not probably the perfect fit for what we’re looking for but then again who on our roster is in the 6’4”-6’8” range, might add some versatility.Updated…
Alex Chaikin
Duke Miles
Jestin Porter
Rakease Passmore
Jayden Stone
Jaiden Glover
Nick Dorn
In Cali you need to consider higher cost of housing and property tax or higher rent and overall higher cost of living on everything along with higher state tax. Money stretches much further in the great state of Tennessee.Correct. California taxes are higher for sure, but not quite as bad as they are made out to be. I’d say 95% of people don’t fully understand how tax brackets work.
