I don't want any players that come from the Memphis/Penny "all about me" culture. Plus Haggerty is a volume scorer who needs 20+ shots a game to be effective

Can’t say I agree. Love that we got Ament but Rice has much more experience and is a solid player in his own right. Push comes to shove I’d have rather had Rice.

Still very happy we got Ament and believe we can still rebound from this, but I think you should almost always prefer the guy with experience in these specific scenarios.

Yup, we were there a few months before and saw some of those pictures where it was the only thing left standing. Very eerie. I’m glad it didn’t burn, but of all the places there, Nobu was the one place that could’ve afforded burning down. A lot of those others that had been there ages might just be done, sadly.

I really think Rice is getting between 4 - 5 million on this USC deal (with a lower base and incentives to stretch it close to 5). I think Rice seems like the third best player on a good team. I think we'll look back on this and feel confident that we made the right decision not escalating the money. Nova and USC were really pushing each other on their bags to the benefit of Rodney.

Now, let's go get Andrej Stojakovic.

I take your point and I would have loved to have Rice but I think his ceiling is about what he did last year at Maryland. Which would have been great but wouldn’t have moved the needle for the potential of this team next season the way Ament does.
