We definitely wanted this guy! Would be a great shooter, which is the only real gap in this otherwise deep roster Pope has built for next season. But basically came down to Wilkerson could be the main guy at Indiana, whereas at UK probably would be 20-25 MPG on an already crowded roster. I can't blame him. The trade-off is Indiana probably won't be as good this season or go as far in the tournament, but that's a gamble each player has to make when deciding where to play their final year of college ball.

Pope will be looking for a shooter now most likely. Not sure who that would be. Wilkerson was really the only player left on the Big Board, other than a 4-star HS recruit we have on campus today (but he wouldn't be ready to fill that role next season that Wilkerson could have, obviously). The challenge is finding a big time shooter like Koby Brea who is OK being 6th man or starting and playing 20-25 MPG.

If that was the case, so be it. I thought it was posted today. But anyways, I have the source for you guys. I said he might commit soon, not the source but it does state that Nova leads. Im not that guy who just posts a bunch of BS. I'm just going by what the article stated and proceeded to give my opinion based on what I read. But I apologize if I misunderstood the Rice bowl tweet.

It looks like the misinterpretation of the rice tweet is one of the author’s main reasons for confidence in him going to Nova. Incredible lol

Here is the source. So before you start making little comments about people you don't know maybe you should do your research before you start talking. I'm not that guy who just jumps on here to ramble and stir crap. I assumed he would commit soon with what I gathered and read but the article says the rest. I don't get on here very often except for transfer portal season and recruiting season for football and basketball. But when I do post something of such importance, It's certainly not gonna be from something that I just thought up inmy mind. And I'm sure we have all posted things that we misread or took the wrong way but I don't post fake news unless it's from a source and I wasn't aware it was fake.

All good, just read the article before posting. No where does it mention that Nova leads. It’s an opinion piece. He mentions several schools rice would do well at, and actually ends the article by saying Tennessee and Kansas are the two schools he would make the most sense going to. Click bait with a misleading headline, not your fault. My bad for being a smart ass

Exactly. I understand that every now and then we get a troll on here or someone who just wants to stir crap, but that ain't me. I admit that I did misread the tweet because I thought it was from today. But who cares?? I didn't realize this forum was only for posters who were perfect and only post 100% legit and true info. No opinions are allowed. LOL!! Yeah I don't even know why I let such dumb@$$ people get to me. Need to hear some good, legit news. Patience may be a virtue but I do not possess such a thing.

Thanks for the link. It looks like the author of the article misunderstood the rice emoji post, but even so suggests that TN is strongly in the mix. We'll see how it goes.

While it isn't confirmation of anything, this quote from Rice in the article linked above, if accurate, uses tense and verbiage that could bode pretty well for Tennessee: "They want me in the backcourt with Ja’Kobi,” Rice said. “We got experience playing together. We’re going to have a good team, a winning team. They’re trying to make a Final Four push. That’s important to me. I want to win. I want to get past where we (Maryland) were this year (Sweet 16). So winning is important.”

Yeah, that quote was also reported by local media when he visited, so that is solid.
