But ament is taller, has a tighter handle dribbling on the perimeter under pressure, and is considered to have a better shot.

Also ament’s highlights feature dribble step-back threes, which show his comfort shooting.

We want both, but let’s not pretend a 6-10 guard who can handle like a point guard and shoot the three isn’t extremely tantalizing.

I have to say the same. ZZ and Gainey had their chances, and I appreciate everything they gave us, but it's time to see what some new blood can do for us.

I saw Ament get his pocket picked multiple times in games. You have to watch beyond the highlights

Ament seems a bit labored when dribbling and cutting but he is taller. Freeman seems much quicker off the dribble

There’s red flags with him. Can’t score in an all star game, frail body….

Could easily be another Julian Phillips type deal, which would be a huge waste of resources.

JMHO-The 5th year for the 2025-26 season needs to go away. If it gets passed, it needs to start for the 2026-27 season. There is not enough preparation time in recruiting to do it now. The coaches are in a bind. You recruit kids and then you have to change what you are selling because the rules changed in the middle of the game? It's too late for the 2025-26 season at this point. JMHO

I think this would be two separate things. If vols lose Rice to Nova it's because they're paying more. That 5th year eligibility literally may not be announced until August or later and totally hypothetical. And at this stage if Rice goes to Nova we truly need warm bodies in any way
