Am very fine if we get Ament, Freeman, Rice. But I see only two starting guards with Gillespie/Rice, and while I love the firepower that having Freeman off the bench at the three brings, and think we'll play very big with Ament and Freeman at 3 or 4, worried that there will be not a ton of reliable punch at guard off the bench with just Boswell and Henderson.

I think Amari Evans may surprise people and be more of a contributor than some may think.I assume no way we actually land all these guys.
But if we did, I’d view Freeman and Ament more like wings. There would be a ton of flexibility we’d have between the 2-5 positions with the personal we’d have.
So I wouldn’t be worried about guard depth too much. It’s more a question of what does the PG duties look like when Gillespie sits.
But we’ve dealt with that over the ZZ era and been mostly fine. Gainey worked in a pinch. Santi and JJJ could get us into offense. We actually used Mashack a lot last year (not this year though) I’m sure someone in this group can do it too if we don’t believe that player is Boswell
Don't forget Amari Evans. He looks good.Am very fine if we get Ament, Freeman, Rice. Amari Evans is tough & ready defensively for D1 Barnes. Won't need to coach him up defensively much like other freshmen. Amari realistically could be a solid wing bench rotation player deoending on who we end up getting in the portal. Boswell will be solid off the bench too who we seen guard 1-3 as a freshman. We just need 1 proven scorer as a 6th Man off the bench imoI think Amari Evans may surprise people and be more of a contributor than some may think.
Basically nobody plays more than 8 guys by March. Your list has 8 guys so…Am very fine if we get Ament, Freeman, Rice. If 1-2 guys get injured like we often see. A guy transfers, & 2 guys get in Foul Trouble on any given night you need depth, solid depth. You also don't want to play your walk on in march either.Basically nobody plays more than 8 guys by March. Your list has 8 guys so…
