I am guessing he has been to UT's campus multiple times. Maybe not every corner of the basketball facilities, but I would think he is somewhat familiar. There has to be more to it. LMU is like a 50 minute drive to Knoxville. The logistics of it aren’t complicated. So who knows what’s going on there.
Some people will go bat sh*t crazy with everything they read on the internet. It's comical to read some of the stuff they come up with after they read a headline that doesn't include TennesseeThat’s a made up story. Several major programs are interested in Freeman, including us. He just signed an agent and attorney. He’s starting visits. Obviously we’re trying to get him on campus.
I really liked Boswells posture on the bench. IMO he was the biggest fan of the other players. I've been on record as saying his playing time reminded me of BJs last year which was eeh. To see him emphatically cheering on his teammates really tells me a lot about him as a person, must have great parents and I hope he sticks around. Sometimes it takes a while to mature into the player you will be. Not everybody lights it up as a freshman year per their rating and actually BJ who I compared Boswell too had a good year starting at SMU this year. So, I hope Boswell hangs around think he's a great teammate and I especially like to see those type players ball out.
Nico had 344 pass attempts his first year as a starter. Peyton Manning had 144. Sure the game is different now but he was 6th in a 16 team conference and his team had a RB that ran for 1500 yards. You don’t throw 344 times without some level of trust. The disdain just boggles me. Those fans old enough to remember can tell you most this irrational fan base wanted Brandon Stewart as the starter.I know that. It’s more the wanting it part. Why overpay the guy you didn’t even trust to throw the ball last year?
I don’t think it’s the raw number of attempts that people complain about and more the air yards per attempt. I’m not sure if the stats on that are easily accessible and I might be way off base, but it sure seemed like a lot of Nico’s throws were sideways.Nico had 344 pass attempts his first year as a starter. I agree 100%. I think that’s why we signed the kid from Vandy. In not sold on the other bigs on this roster as many others are.OK. Am I the only one concerned that we don't have a significant back to the basket scorer on this team. I feel like last year that was our biggest problem. If we had a good low post scorer, then it would have helped to open up more open shots from the 3pt line. It feels like we are heading down the same path this year. That is why I think it is critical to get a player like Alvaro or someone else like Marcus Johnson who has a true post-up game.
