They are ex-missionaries and align with a lot of what they’re being told about how Nate would be developed as a player and young man. The other programs have more money and promises. This will be a bit of a struggle between agent and family probably. We’ll be strong with an offer, but he’ll have to believe we can lift his draft stock as we have with others. Familiar story, and not necessarily a bad one. Just hard to predict.

Freeman seems to be methodically going along as are conversations with one other 3/4 wing. Trying to get more info on who.

I haven’t heard about anyone else.

Buzz Peterson had the program trending well with recruiting. But progress was too slow. And Buzz wasn’t a competent Xs and Os coach at the SEC level. I wanted him to get another year if DeVoe was hired as the Associate Head Coach to handle the in-game strategy. DeVoe with Buzz’s recruiting had potential. But it worked out with 6 years of Bruce despite the dumpster fire at the end.

We have a huge offer higher than most on Ament. Arkansas boards have said this.

Rumors Morez Johnson is gonna decommit from Michigan…something about grades.

Same thing with the Johnell Davis kid last year before he went to Arkansas

Grade issues would be a huge red flag in this era. Do players even get suspended anymore or am I just blinded by CRB’s rosters? It seems like we used to lose 1 or 2 players every year or two that couldn’t handle the student part of being student-athletes.

Yes, there are still grade and advancement requirements

Especially with ALL the resources these kids get to succeed. I’d have no less than a 3.5 GPA.

Wonder like BTO said that not likely to get both Freeman and Ament. Guess Barnes and them pick lottery talent over freeman.

Team even with Rice needs another guard/wing shooter or two. Would be perfect to have Gainey back for next year
