This sounds super greedy but if we do end up getting Rice/Ament/Carey, I still think we need a stretch big and/or one more guard to come off the bench. I just don’t want to have a Maryland situation where we have 5 studs and not much else. Makes me sound like a spoiled brat but idc

Jakobi is so elite but am i the only one who isn’t that impressed with Rice? Just feel like we could do better at the SG spot but maybe they want to be a package deal who knows

Donovan Atwell could be an affordable depth piece at guard. And maybe one of Bishop Boswell or Amari Evans is ready to play. Don’t know that they’re gonna get another big after Carey

If that’s all we were to get at wing, sure. But sounds like the staff is chasing multiple scorers out there, which would put rice in a complimentary role that he could thrive in. Add in that he brings some natural chemistry with Gillespie and it’s a great fit, imo.

If we can get another scorer or 2 next to him then i absolutely agree. Works perfectly for both sides!

If there’s an off guard with better production in a P5 conference last season in the portal please point them out. I imagine it’s a short list.

I haven’t looked at the portal really, only ones who come to mind Is Lamar Wilkerson and Jaron Pierre

37.4% from 3. He and Gillespie would be a better duo based on shot making than what we had this year.
