Pretty concerned about our budget if the $8 million range is accurate. Sounds like Louisville paid that amount alone for their 3 portal guards, plus they grabbed a 5 star point guard, and have a $3 million offer out for Ament as well.

They’re probably an extreme example but we’re getting lapped out here by some of these schools

Sometimes you have to go backwards to move forward. At some point, NIL reality will catch up with us. If you really want to compete, you have to pay what others are willing to pay.

I don’t think football is sniffing a Natty in the near future. Baseball and LV basketball are the only programs with a chance of winning a Natty.

Ok but if we take money from something else to get more out of basketball you're going to see a decline in whatever we take money out of. I personally agree that more money should be put into basketball but not everyone thinks so, there's always going to be someone that complains or finds something wrong. Gonna have to come to terms with the fact that NIL is changing the landscape of college athletics and adaption is a must.

Love those dudes and they had a hell of a run but one of the fun things about college sports to me is getting some new players after a few years. Ready for it.
