2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Tennessee has never been the type to go after 25 players for 5 spots, for better or worse, they identify guys that they really want and they zero in on them. Recent years that has worked in their favor as they’ve gotten most of those guys, they are using that strategy again and we’ll see how it works. They love both Freeman and Folgueiras, both guys know that and know they are priorities, sometimes that matters and sometimes that doesn’t, we’ll see. Folgueiras is a lot like Milicic, but also with a little more aggressive mindset, I think they feel like G can probably improve his athleticism a bit and he’s a guy that gives a true stretch 4 that the staff really liked to have.

Their board is pretty clear and obviously and it’s just as obvious what they’re envisioning and looking to add, unless they start to get some no’s from some guys I don’t really see the board changing much.
"G"??

From the Isaac McKneely posts I haven't seen any from Tennessee fans today atleast. All have been Louisville fans
UK fans were certain they were getting Chaz last year. Showing off pics of him walking with Pope, etc. I live up here and heard it. Saw it on their forums and on Twitter. You need to relax lol.

yeah I'm just not understanding the confidence, wonder if a mod posted something

If Shack wants to come back you absolutely take him back, all of course if the ruling happens. However if you bring in some guards that can score and play solid D, there's no way Shack starts over them. Should still get plenty of minutes, but we have to get some guys that can at least be serviceable shooting and scoring.

Kind of random but do you see Evans contributing in year 1? I really like his game and think he can be one of our best perimeter defenders sooner rather than later.
Answer probably depends on what we add in the portal, but I think he can definitely be a solid 8/9 guy that sees ~10mpg

“This had shaped up into a battle between Louisville and Tennessee,” Nakos reported, “but the Cardinals have now landed Kennesaw State point guard Adrian Wooley and Xavier guard Ryan Conwell.
“Meanwhile, the Volunteers need to completely revamp their backcourt with guards Chaz Lanier, Zakai Zeigler and Jordan Gainey all leaving the program. Tennessee has the slight edge to land Isaac McKneely this point, a source told On3.”
About McNeely. Not sure how reliable this is but just thought i'd share.
