Tennessee has never been the type to go after 25 players for 5 spots, for better or worse, they identify guys that they really want and they zero in on them. Recent years that has worked in their favor as they’ve gotten most of those guys, they are using that strategy again and we’ll see how it works. They love both Freeman and Folgueiras, both guys know that and know they are priorities, sometimes that matters and sometimes that doesn’t, we’ll see. Folgueiras is a lot like Milicic, but also with a little more aggressive mindset, I think they feel like G can probably improve his athleticism a bit and he’s a guy that gives a true stretch 4 that the staff really liked to have.Yes -- you seem to have the best pulse of this.
Wilkerson seems hard but Atwell feels doable.
Freeman seems hard now with Florida schools and Indiana involved...any other wing names? Personally, I've loved Pozzato this whole time but wasn't even sure how he ended up on your list.
Alvaro is skilled but I wonder if his price, as well as his lack of athleticism and playing below the rim, might not make him the best fit. Would really love a bouncy forward at the 4 who can defend and take advantage of opportunities off the roll. A Tyler Smith-type would be ideal here, IMO (as far as being able to finish and create shots around the basket).
Basilio is irresponsible. He just makes things up on a regular basis. Amazing that folks sponsor that showBasilio today: “For now, it looks like Phillips, Okpara and Estrella are now all three sticking around for 2025-26.”
Basilio 2 days ago: UT expects at least one of Estrella or Phillips to not be back in 2025-26.
I hope Folgueriras can at least can dribble a basketball and throw a pass to his teammates.Tennessee has never been the type to go after 25 players for 5 spots, for better or worse, they identify guys that they really want and they zero in on them. Their board is pretty clear and obviously and it’s just as obvious what they’re envisioning and looking to add, unless they start to get some no’s from some guys I don’t really see the board changing much.
Is there a chance we could circle back to Clark if no JG or does his recent commitment bind him?Thread has gotten boring. Anyway...
Who is a plausible backup plan for Gillespie (just for discussion as I think 90% or greater he is a Vol).
After McKneely and JG, what who will they go hard for next IYO?
If he wanted an actual education he wouldn’t be getting an American Studies degree. The problem is if he wants to get an actual education and we don't have the professors who can provide it. You can't just hand-wave expertise into existence. Not usually up there in the concerns for athletes but some of the guys are smart enough to know that the majority of their future won't be in sports.
There’s no way to know unless you’re on their boards, so posting something a guy with 7 followers on twitter says is pointless. That’s 2 times this week you’ve posted a tweet from somebody that’s completely irrelevant. He may go to Louisville, but these guys do not know anything.wonder if his source was a Louisville mod though
