Two like him could have made big difference against Houston.

Needed 4. That Houston bunch had a lineup of quick, athletic Mashack types. They played with an energy that even Vol nation has to admire. Organized chaos, whirlwind....call it what you want, but man they were impressive against us and Duke. We didn't have the studs that make up the Duke roster so we wilted under the pressure.

I love the addition of Carey, but I hope it doesn't clog the paint for us like it did when we had Aidoo and Awaka on at the same time.

Gillespie looks like a very good 3 point shooter, are we going to be targeting anymore guys that shoot from behind the ark or more slashers and athletic guys?

At least a SG like Rice and a big 3 or stretch 4 with good height and good feet for perimeter defense along with 1-2 slashers.

Front court feels pretty set to me, turn the attention towards scoring guards and 3/4 type guys, like Freeman, Pozzato, Alvaro.

I hope we still have a chance with Alvaro Folgueiras

I'm pretty skeptical of them holding a spot for Mashack, but that may be contingent on what they can land in the portal.

Really? How come? Barnes choice wouldn't seem to make sense unless totally focused on a offensive-minded transfer with 2 or more years of eligibility. Do you think Mashack would move on?

Maybe “recurring” more apt than “chronic” at his age. He returned from it last season. I think he needs a clean bill before anyone spends on him.

Word is Freeman and Rice. The only thing stopping them is NIL offers from other schools. Its very fluid so I'm not 100% on those. Gillespie we knew he wasn't blowing smoke, but the others maybe.

It looks like Carey has been told they want him to step out and hit some threes.

He can't be much worse than Milicic.

Well Carey shot 23% last year compared to Igor's 31%, so it can get worse. Hopefully Carey will work on that part of his game this offseason particularly if he's going to start at the 4.

To be fair, that’s a pretty big clarifier. That’s basically the only thing preventing anyone from committing anywhere right now.

Sounds kinda like what SF said, we want to be done before the dead period. So if we’re finishing those 2 off, it makes sense.

I hope we don't leave multiple scholarships open again. I can understand leaving one open, but much more than that, and you run into a lack of depth, IMO. That's with 13 scholarships. If/when they go to 15, philosophy may be a little different .
