2025 Target List

I read that the money gets credited to your account. I didn’t see that they refunded the money, not saying that they don’t. I just didn’t see that. I also didn’t see where the money comes from to pay the expenses to run the business.
The fine print, which I just found, says you can work their system to request to get your non refundable money back, if your athlete chooses another school. If they grant your request they hold 6 per cent. The site is also a for profit company.

Jordan Brand Classic completed. Crazy athleticism.

AJ Dybantsa, Kiyan Anthony, Caleb Wilson, Darius Acuff, Boozer Twins, and Tounde Yessoufou stood out as much as you can in a game like this. Nate Ament seemed uncomfortable much like he did in the USA vs International game, but you can see the potential at his height and skills.

He’s just extremely weak. Crazy high upside, but he’s got a little kid body. How strong can he get in 6 months? That worries me a little.

“Little kid body”

He is actually 6’9” brother, he’s got the frame to add weight. Y’all are talking about him like he’s supposed to play left tackle this fall, he’ll be fine.

Never underestimate Medenwald. If he gets a surplus of 3500extra calories a week he could gain a .5lb-1lb a week… 10-25lbs of weight (not all muscle) could be possible if he ate/drank a s*** ton!

But tbh I didn’t think of all the cardio they do plus his metabolism. He might need an extra 1000 calories a day! Lol

Exactly and he’s playing wing, not banging down low. Hell he might outweigh Okpara lol.

His almost 7 foot wing span is going to cause all kinds of problems to other wings.

Okpara literally outweighs him by 50 pounds. 50! And Felix is on the slim side.

I hope we get him, but I will not be shocked at all to see him really get roughed up by SEC defenders.

Like I said he’s playing wing and not downlow I don’t understand why people don’t understand that and expect him to play the 4.

Brandon Miller did just fine at 6-9 200lbs and I’d be willing to bet that’s right around where Ament will come in at.

He’ll have one of the best in the biz Medenwald working on his strength. It’s so weird we might get one of the best recruits we have ever signed and you guys are talking yourselves out of him…

There's an old article about Durant being skinny/small/weak coming out of Texas, about how he finished 78th out of 80 players there in the overall physical performance metrics. Greg Oden was better than him at all things that involved speed, strength, and leaping ability.

Barnes said this then.

""If people question his strength, they're stupid," Texas' Rick Barnes said Tuesday, according to The Dallas Morning News. "If they are looking for weight lifters to come out of Texas, that's not what we're producing. There are a lot of guys who can bench press 300 pounds in the NBA who couldn't play dead in a cowboy movie. Kevin's the best player in the draft -- period, at any position."

Barnes was 1000 percent correct. No one else in that draft is on the same planet as Durant.

Who is doing that, though? Acknowledging that he needs weight isn't some concession that anyone would just as soon we pass on a top-5 talent. It's merely realizing that the reality is he will likely only be here one year and strength is going to be a concern. You're right, he isn't going to be banging in the post to get points. But getting position, fighting off screens, setting screens, getting to the basket, rebounding...those are all things that will be affected by his strength and bulk. I'd be less concerned if he was a 2 or 3 year player because I think he could make real strides with an entire offseason with Medenwald. But only getting a few months isn't likely to make a big dent, so he's going to have to be a production prodigy as a lightweight SF to justify the hype. I still want him and most anyone else will, as well. Just probably beat to temper expectations and hope that he can deliver with shot-making ability.

Exactly. It's basketball. He probably isn't backing down people in the post, and that's totally fine.

We can can toughen him up some in 6 months.
I don't think people realize how much his size and wingspan at the wing will benefit whoever gets him.
It's crazy to me that anyone would even question whether you grab this kid if you can possibly get him.

There’s been a few that’s put him as a 4, I’m assuming because he’s 6’9… I do agree with you though that it will be tough fighting off screens, but I think with his huge wingspan it’s not like he’ll have to create as much space as some typical wing players that are 6’2-6’6… also he has a high release so it’s going to be easy for him to get shots off over people.

I’ve not been this excited about a recruit since Tobias so I’ll admit I probably am blinded a little lol. I just think he’s going to be special.

That is the STUPIDEST comment I've ever heard and that's saying something. Congrats you're the winner of WPOY.
I don't know about WPOY ( ha, so many ignorant things said this year it would be hard to pick for me) but like I posted in my last post, to even remotely question whether or not you take this kid is just crazy talk, IMO.

Our 4's are not post up players anyway. Him or Freeman can guard a 4.

some people will find a way to complain about anything. We could sign a clone of Michael Jordan, and somebody on this board would say “have you EVER seen a bald guy take a team to the championship?”

None of that crap matters…can they put the mf ball through the hoop?

Well, he does have a valid concern....at least to my uneducated mind.

Is he going to be a 4? Can he hold up on the defensive end if posted up? We saw Phillips get bullied at times.

Is he strong enough and quick enough to hang with the opponent's 3? Guess Barnes knows exactly how to use a kid like this since he's already traveled that road with Durant.

Our strength coaches will get the weight on him and increase his strength. We have one of best strength and conditioning programs in college basketball. Probably one of reasons he really likes us.

They feel like they can add 20 pounds of muscle a week just by adding high protein dog food and canned spinach to his diet.
