2025 NBA Season Thread aka Draymond's Annual Wealth Destruction Tour

Not the most fun numbers.

Shai = 30, 4.6 and 5.6 with 3.5 stocks, 3.5 topg, and .561 TS%

Dort, Caruso, and Wiggins are the only Thunder players with > 50 minutes and 32% from 3p.

Thunder as a team averaged 10.5 steals per game and were +32 in turnover margin.

Pacers had 7 guys average double digits and nobody averaged 20 ppg.

I went to the bar with friends to watch the game last night. As soon as I was on my way, I was regretting it because I knew watching at home would've been more immersive....but then the Hali injury happened, and I'm so glad they were there to distract me. It didn't really hit me until this morning. I woke up and rubbed my eyes, and just loudly and involuntarily groaned "Fuuuuuuuu***!" (my family is in Utah right now). I am so bummed. Not just for my guy, but the east is so wrecked next year. The Pacers were the most fun team in basketball, and we're not going to see it again until 2026-27. I'm just moping around the house. LOL

Was listening to an interview with USC assistant coach Will Conroy on the iconic sonics podcast yesterday and he was talking about the culture of basketball in Seattle and how unique it is.

Its like the NBA never left. he said you could just show up in a gym in town and see a guy like Jamal Crawford giving highschoolers, or junior highschoolers a ride home after free workouts.

Everyone from Seattle wants everyone else from Seattle to be good at basketball and ALL of the come back to the city to give back and help young guys make it.

its a city that punches way above its weight, and in true GP fashion a ton of guys who might only be borderline athletic talents make it because there's just so many guys who have made it that come back and run **** for free to help others

he also said Nate Robinson was playing 2k and lost so he got in his car and drove to the dudes house who beat him and turned his console off lol

also **** the Knicks. The franchise is dead to me. Outside of King and Houston i no longer like anything about the franchise

I never catch Zack Lowe slipping. Today, he said TJ McConnell's shooting attempts went up in recent years. People always make the mistake of looking at totals instead of per minute rate, so I checked his work...he had 16 FGA per 36 the last 2 years after being in the 9-12 range the entire rest of his career. Zack is dead on. That is so weird for a guy like McConnel to do this at this point in his career.

He's basically just doing the Chris Paul thing, except he's more aggressive finishing around the basket. But the 10' - 12' middie just wherever the D gives you space...Carlisle probably just gave him CP3 film and asked, "do you think you can try this?"

I was so excited. It absolutely sucks the night was ruined. And now the Pacers, who were probably the favorites next year, are going to take a step back. It's insane.

i had a migraine going into the game that was identical to one i had against Georgia in hooker's year. didn't enjoy a millisecond of either game

its like if someone stole the bears and moved them to Portland and then the portland dogballs win the Superbowl.

nobody cares

I think a big part of it is just that the OKC players were relieved to win the title, and I think the Haliburton injury took the wind out of their sails by cheapening the enjoyment of it. I also think they know it shouldn't have gone 7. And for some reason, it's just OKC's personality to not get too high or too low, and apparently they carry that all the way to the championship celebration, LOL.

On Simmons pod he pointed out there's no narrative with this OKC team. They are the youngest team. They've barely been in our lives. There's no story about an old vet finally getting his first ring. There's no story about a superstar getting his 3rd or 4th ring, which propels him into all-time convos. There's no question "Can SGA come up big in big moments?" because he's been consistently great in 2 straight playoffs.

This specific title doesn't feel like it means as much, but it's not a normal NBA title.

🤣🤣 Like Memphis is a true franchise 🤣🤡

Please. We took a team from Vancouver that barely existed and had never made the playoffs. Twenty years later, Memphis can lay some actual claim to that franchise.

Ive got nothing against OKC as a town, but the Sonics were a whole ass vibe with history and rings. We are not the same.

🤣🤣. Sure

The OKC disrespect online is getting ridiculous, and the haters are just giving them fuel for next season. This is going to backfire. It's a legitimate title. They are legitimate champs. Given their age and all that they accomplished....it's not one of the best teams all time, but they are one of the most impressive teams. They deserve their flowers.

they claim a title they didn't win and they'll never deserve flowers

Ownership does that. Shai and Daginault and co....the people who actually won the title had nothing to do with that. It's also normal. The Lakers do it. Pretty sure the Braves count the Milwaukee title. Dodgers and Brooklyn, etc.

Pretty sure OKC said they wouldn't count Sonics titles, so it's lame to backtrack but also weird to hold it against the current squad

Durant had sonics fans sitting directly behind his mom, yelling past her to him that he'll never win a title in OKC, thats the city is cursed and he should ask for a trade. For years that went on, and he actually was a sonic who didn't want to leave.

i got nothing against Shai, but dort and Caruso could get that and worse every game and it wouldn't hurt my feelings none
