2025 NBA Draft and Offseason

I believe the T-Wolves, when they caught got doing something similar, got fined 3 first rounders and a significant amount of money.
The Minnesota Timberwolves received the harshest penalty ever by a major professional sports league in 2000, incurring a $3.5 million fine, the voiding of Joe Smith's contracts, and a loss of five first-round draft picks (2 were later reinstated).

Pablo Torre got rightfully criticized for getting weird on the Belichick/Hudson relationship and decided to destroy the LA Clippers. Incredible

Criticized by some of the media figures who are feasting off his journalism right now.

Bill Simmons was ridiculous about the Bill B stuff with Pablo. Couldn't believe he went after him like that. Lowe has already done 3 pods on this.

I understood Bill’s point, because I think Pablo went way above reporting about sports and started some TMZ-like digging, but his last few months have been ‘92 MJ level

Bill does no reporting but does the TMZ stuff

I loved Bill Simmons' theory that Kawhi didn't know anything. I had thought of that myself. I think it's more likely he didn't know than Balmer didn't know. But my favorite part of that theory is even if it's true, almost nobody is ever going to accept that about Kawhi. It's totally plausible that Uncle Dennis went to Kawhi and said, "I'm making deals in your name for the family and you don't have to ever do anything or know anything about them." and Kawhi was probably like, "OK."

That is probably the most logical thing, although that games missed number for the season once he got the payout was interesting!

I missed that detail...meaning the suspicion is he faked an injury after he got paid?

force ballmer to sell, seattle gets a team and LA can stop pretending they're able to support two franchises

when expansion goes through, San Diego becomes a candidate

Force Ballmer to become a Tennessee booster

He has completely phoned in the football stuff. I made it 15 minutes with him and Sal. Also Bengals/Jags talk just because of his fantasy teams. Couldn’t do it

The Sal episode each week is good if you want to be thinking about the odds for next week's games. I always enjoy parent corner at the end, but in general, BS's football episodes are far less interesting to me than the NBA ones.

Remember our heyday when we had a freaking re-draft of the league one offseason?

LOL
