2025 NBA Draft and Offseason

I agree. Maybe @n_huffhines will control his front runner mentality this upcoming season.

I've been a Lakers fan since mid 70's so if I'm a frontrunner so be it...

What does this even mean? Because I appreciate OKC? I was in on them at least 3 years ago, but I'm not a fan. I just saw the potential. They're finally a front-runner. They had many, many doubters saying they couldn't win a title basically up until they got past Denver.

Easy, just messing with you...Decaf in the morning for you young man...

The only front runner around here is me, because the Pistons are about to return to the Isiah days of winning ? Isn't that right, @zjcvols ?

You will go where Ivey takes you, IMO. If he's a C, you guys probably won't be as good as last year (but in a weakened east). If he's a B, then it could be pretty good.

Jaden Ivey has all the skills to be a reasonable facsimile of Anthony Edwards, imo. So far, he"s not there or even kinda close, yet. But, if he turns the corner, just a little, it will be a good thing for the Pistons

Maybe 2 years ago you could say that, but suddenly Ant is a top 10 shooter in the league, out of nowhere. But I still know what you're saying.

47,44,74 (I rounded up) for Ivey, 18 a game, which isn't bad, but I know what you are saying, too. Ron Holland is going to be a lot better, also. They had NY, last year and like you said the East is probably even worse. You never know, Eastern Conference Champions sounds pretty good to me

Lowe talked about Clippers with league people and lawyers and then podded about it. Two big takeaways.

The league views this as a much bigger offense than tampering, and tampering typically carries a punishment of one or two 2nd rd picks.

The rulebook isn't clear on this, but for the league to come down hard on the Clippers, they may have to prove ownership/FO knowingly directed this fraudulent behavior. It's possible Balmer got taken on this and didn't know what was happening. But even if they can't establish this, they might still be able to throw the book at them. The wording of the rule doesn't clarify this.

And ultimately, Silver has the power to do whatever he wants, but he needs the rules and league politics to back him.
