2025 NBA Draft and Offseason

The Hawks now have the Bucks swaps on 26/27…just an interesting FYI

Just some random thoughts:

I think it's time to consider making the Benson family sell and move the team to Vegas

I liked Phoenix taking a flyer on Mark Williams but holy hell I don't like taking Maluach with him. They needed a defensive wing.

I actually like Queen as a prospect and I thought Chicago should have taken him.

Sean Marks has been the GM of the Brooklyn Nets since February 2016. They've won a single playoff series during his tenure. He still has a job

I'm not a full believer in Coward but I love that fit with Memphis.

I thought Miami got a steal

I think the Jazz had a good night and I wouldn't be shocked if taking Bailey means Markannen is gone this summer.
5 1st round picks. He takes 3 PGs basically. Unreal

Has to be fit, I know ESPN thought very highly of him as a prospect

He doesn't like him.

20. Miami Heat: Kasparas Jakučionis, G, Illinois

Grade: D+

The Heat were probably hoping for Walter Clayton Jr. with this pick. For every beautiful assist Jakučionis had as a freshman, there's an equally ugly bone-headed turnover. He had 11 games this past season with more turnovers than made shots. As a primary creator, he's not a Tyrese Haliburton type. Think more along the lines of Spencer Dinwiddie; he's one of your guys on the roster, but he's not THE guy.

Hilarious ESPN’s top NBA reporter doesn’t understand simple asset management

Depends on the guy

I was in on KJ early. He was cooking Tennessee....but so many turnovers, the D is bad, and his real basketball age isn't 19. He's way more developed than that. He's been a pro since he was 15. I don't hate him at 20 but he was gettimg mocked way too high.

Seems like O'Connor didn't like him as a 1st rounder even.

I am still stupefied by Joe Dumars and Troy Weaver trading an unprotected 1st for bottom 5 team for the #13 pick...oh wait no I'm not. Dumars traded an unprotected 1st round pick to dump Ben Gordon's contract so they can sign Josh Smith 12 years ago and Troy Weaver traded a protected 1st round pick so they couldn't trade a first rounder during his entire tenure for the 16th pick!

I have no idea why Portland didnt do that deal.

Id much rather have the unprotected Bucks/Pelicans pick next year than the Magic one in 2028.

The Chinese guy would have been there at 23...

KJ a D+ due to fit or he just doesn't like him as an NBA prospect?

OConner is hoping history doesnt repeat itself here with his grading.

The Heat always knock it out of park with those in 10-20 range

Ware, Jaquez, Herro, Adebayo, Winslow. Pretty dang good run there.

Kleiman has failed 100% of the time using a first on a wing or via free agency. Hopefully, Coward bucks that trend....

1. Mavericks vs. Lakers (July 10)

Why you should watch: The debut of Flagg, who is considered one of the best draft prospects this century, makes this the clear-cut best game of the event. Flagg will be making his summer league debut against the Lakers, a team that will feature Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, who was selected with the No. 55 pick last summer. The Mavericks (Flagg) and the Los Angeles Lakers (Adou Thiero) each made one selection in the draft. Thiero, a talented wing out of Arkansas, will headline the Lakers' summer league roster alongside James. It's also possible that Dalton Knecht -- the No. 17 overall pick in last year's draft -- will also be on this roster. Flagg had one of the best one-and-done seasons in college basketball history. All eyes will be on the former Duke star next month.

rumor the lakers are looking to sign brook lopez

dont think thats the center to get them back into contention

Jazz send Sexton ($19m/1) and a future 2nd to the Hornets for Nurkic ($19m/1) is a truly baffling trade.
