It’s actually a pain to try to slot the LIV crew appropriately since they don’t get OWGR credit.
Couple (3) options that wouldn't bother me either way. I don't think any of us could throw a dart at it any better and don't foresee any complaints. Atleast the major names...Lefty, Rahm, Koepka, etc., would still prob be A's. Some would not. And so forth. Most obviously cannot slot below an A or B regardless. I'm cool with however you decide to slot them. It'll be no easier a toruney to get lucky on picks than any other.
1. Last posted OWGR
2. Best guess at where they'd be slotted today if getting credit (A-D pick)
3. List LIV spearately and allow them to be used as A or B picks collectively. So, A person could have A, LIV, C, D or LIV, LIV, C, D...etc. Would be nothing short of interesting however you slot them. If a LIV golfer has a green jacket and you pick them, it must be as an A.

I just eyeball their LIV results YTD and slot them using my best judgment. Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson are probably the most challenging since they are not playing at a high level but have strong Masters history.

I can understand that. Especially with DJ, Phil, Bubba, and especially Sergio playing markedly better this year than they have in recent years. I support however you do it.

Bought all you can do really, and you typically slot them fairly and properly. You're right about those 2 though. If it was the US Open, you could bump Bubba down to a D. He gets cut as much there as he makes it to a Saturday. Phil may challenge. Never know. But, his body really enjoys the 3 day format. He did look good and rested at Doral last week though.

Or pull out about 8 or 10 as Group A, another 8 or 10 as Group B, and group C and D at random from all of the leftovers.

I didn’t look to see if Angel is back using his lifetime exception and being a free man.

Freddy must be nearing the end. Bernhard might last a year or two longer despite being older. I’m going to miss Sandy bringing up the rear.

Fowler might have barely snuck in - I haven’t checked.

Vijay withdrew with an injury.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding you, but it’s only 12 LIV players that qualify one way or the other.

I’m not really considering LIV at all. Just have a small group of the obvious best players as As then Bs and then throw all of the rest into two random groups for C and D.

If there are only 12 LIVs then they could instead just be placed in the PGA list fairly easily. But I’m not running it. I’m just lurking at the bottom of the VN scoreboard (2 next to last finishes will do that).

Whatever is easiest.

Angel is back.

This is Bernhard’s last Masters.
