If we don’t make the playoffs then Michigan all day!

A reminder to people that Schlabach and Bonagura had Tennessee in the cheez-it and Gator bowl in their 2024 projections. Not exactly clairvoyant

CBS Sports has us in the Liberty Bowl against Kansas State.

I'd much rather get Michigan. Playing Kansas State sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Well this guy has us in the playoffs using NCAA 26

Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith and Julian Sayin, Tennessee's Joey Aguilar and Oregon's Makhi Hughes won Heisman Trophies in multiple seasons of our simulation.
Texas' Arch Manning did not win the Heisman in any of these seasons and never finished in the top five in Heisman voting, even in the season in which the Longhorns won a national title.

We will likely never fall to the Texas Bowl unless we were 6-6.

Since 8-4 is likely our floor this year, outside of a Florida bowl our two fall backs are always Music City or the Mayo Bowl in Charlotte. The Charlotte people have been salivating at the chance to get us the past few seasons.

We could “fall” to the Texas Bowl since they don’t really rank teams now. An 8-4 team will probably be in the Texas Bowl. The playoff and the Citrus Bowl are the only bowls that are considered “better” than the Texas Bowl now. So we could go 9-3 with a 6th place finish (which I think most of us would consider an acceptable result) and go to the Texas Bowl.
