That’s bold considering the qb is likely to never have started a college game. You can make jokes all you want but the weapons on offense are off the charts. It’s the question of who’s throwing them to ball and protecting him. The defense is a complete overhaul. No telling how that goes. Shouldn’t be worse but it’s a giant question mark.

We went to the playoff with a QB that had started 1 game the prior season (Cheez it bowl). Defense and run game got us there. I trust Heup with QB’s and offense. Just needs a good defense.

It's been one heckuva ride so far. I think Cal might be a good fit for him. They can probably afford to be patient on his development where Tennessee couldn't at a certain point.

Was never gonna get a big name this portal cycle. Bishop is RB1 no matter how much some don’t like it.

I like Bishop and he's a really solid player but I would like to see an uber talented RB in this offense.

Literally nothing you said trying to piss in his cornflakes changes anything he said. He simply said "liable to be"... I swear most of this fan base would rather wallow in misery than take a glimmer of hope and actually enjoy it. Permanent Eeyores... Volunteeyores?

What is your definition of an uber talented RB in this offense? The running back position has been one of our most productive groups in the past few years, with Wright, sampson, and bishop all running for 1000+ yds in the past 3 years - including sampson putting up almost 1500 in 2024. and bishop tied at #6 for touchdowns this year (with 2 other running backs who added 7 each) Who do you have in mind that would do any better? I would argue that Bishop is an uber talented RB.

Yeah, I don't think coaches were as interested in Sawchuk as fans were. He's yet to come close to what he was as a redshirt freshman, and even last season gave way to the younger backs late in the season. Maybe he erupts again at some point, but he hasn't been the same player since his strained quad in 2024, even when he was healthy last year.

Honestly shows you how crazy preseason rankings are. PSU and Ole Piss lost over half of their rosters and have nigh complete overhauls. No universe where they should be in the top 25 to start the season. Let them win their respective games and earn it.
