2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Y’all aren’t really reacting much to the post about the denied injunction that would’ve helped Joey Aguilar…

That piece of the mystery has now been solved. No longer speculating “what if…”

Now we know definitively that we need a portal QB. There is no more, “well maybe JA will get another year.”

I am one of the most sunshine pumpers on here, but even my orange tinted glasses are faltering some as I wonder what our QB options are…
That said it was different from the one Joey is on.

I saw that. Very unfortunate news for JA. This is getting really ugly and now Danny having his mouthpiece squash the stuff on a top QB.

Wait, so we’re fahrin’ Danny now, too, over some Twitter posts? This thread needs to die, quickly.

Can you provide us a list of suitable replacements?
I'm not at the point of firing DW, but I am questioning how we can blame Heupel when DW has him handcuffed to following rules that other coaches don't have to. DW is pushing his agenda of cleaning up college football. To do so, he was to walk the walk as he talks the talk. But that means while other coaches are breaking rules left and right with zero consequence from the NCAA, Heupel isn't allowed to do that. He's at a legit competitive disadvantage placed upon him by his AD.

Because he was my favorite player on defense, played hard, enjoyed supporting him, and we play more than 1 linebacker? What? Are we not allowed to be fans of players anymore? Sheesh.

I’m not a fan of players that suck tbh. I can support playing hard if you stick it out all the way. But he clearly isn’t and I’m relieved he isn’t.

I guess there are still a few hours left for some additional QB surprises, but man, what a swing and a miss if we invest all of this money in the defense and ride into a pivotal season for this staff with GMac as our QB1.
WTF did we recruit him for if we’re not going to play him?!? Do we expect him to sit on the bench until he’s a junior? I don’t understand the handwringing.

DW openly admitting still on probation was silly enough. Name names if going to call others out. Otherwise keep your mouth shut. Yeah I am not even mad at Heupel. To be honest he has over achieved having an AD like this.

The best AD we've had in a long time bar was set pretty low to begin with, but
if you don't find his public behavior troubling over the last few weeks, then you just don't want to see it.

Negatively interacting with fans on social media...bad look.

Blaming other teams for cheating while we "play by the rules"...bad look.

Basically conceding the 2026 season because "we play by the rules"...bad look.

And I'd ask you, outside of effectively pricing the average fan out of Tennessee sports, what has he done as an AD that has impressed you? Serious question. Josh Heupel has been good, not great. Kim Caldwell has been OK. Josh Elander, we will see...too early to know. Those are his three big hires, so far. One (Heupel) was a layup given their connections and our desperation. Elander was already here. Caldwell is the only one he's really had to search for and she hasn't lit the world on fire.

I know we are supposed to be overly impressed because he's the highest paid AD in the country, but outside of fundraising at the fans' expense, I don't know what he's done from an administrative standpoint to deserve your admiration.
I like Danny White and sorry you don’t think so but he absolutely is one of the best ADs we have ever had. Some of you just want to find things to complain about like little children. Many of you have just forgotten where we once was.

You act like what Heupel has done here is no big deal. Again just another delusional fan who has selective memory. DW has resurrected our football program from the dead. Let’s be honest and cut the crap. We are nationally relevant. Since he has gotten here we have went to doormats to relevant in a short amount of time. Of course we also have to factor in the absolute pile of crap Phil left him with.

I could care less about social media crap. In my mind he has earned every penny he has gotten. I support DE 100%.

Danny White has done a lot of good for the university but he better start breaking rules in football or yeah he’s not going to make it in the long run. Both can be true.

Revisionist history after watching him suck the entire 25 season? Lmao
Dude had 17 tackles in one game and clutched out the Miss state game, played with injury all year on top of that. I guess this makes things easier for you if you try to convince yourself he was bad… whatever.
