2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

2025 roster shows 100 players, we lost 39 total to the nfl/portal/Graduation.
Between the 2026 Class and the portal we have added 39 players, and hopefully our portal players will be an upgrade over those their replacing. Would love to add another 5 to top out at the 105 limit.

It won't be long until nearly every single player enters the portal each year, just to secure that option and test the market.

I heard over a week ago that it was already over 35% of D1 football players this year.

I think as the days go by, the angrier I get just because we really didn’t have a plan at QB other than throwing money at Sorsby, Ty, or Leavitt. I don’t know, maybe once you see that TTech, LSU, etc are also wanting them, maybe back out and not waste a week.



Quit wasting your time on these dudes that will continue to drag you around. You could’ve called Alonzo, offered him 1mil and we’d have our QB right now.

Your lack of faith in Heupel with QBs is mind numbing. How do you know they didn’t evaluate Alonzo? I mean geez dude you mentioned wanting sooo many players. You don’t know who we reached out to or who we made offers to. Also, how do you know Alonzo would have accepted our offer? Then how do you know he would have won the starting job and been successful in our system? You don’t in the answers.

We also had one of the easiest schedules in college football and played (2) top 30 offense's that year. We won't have that Luxory next year with a 9th SEC game and a brutal schedule. Exactwhy Heupel is trying to get someone experienced. Not a schedule you wanna throw out a RS Freshman.

Glad Heupel didn’t over pay for one of these so called big names with experience.

Nothing good comes from lying to or misleading anyone. They should tell Mac up front that we have to have 3 QBs. His family is deep in the game. He understands.

The problem with GMac, is that I'm afraid the offense will have the training wheels on it, like 2024. So while I do expect our defense to be improved, the offense will take a step back.

I'd think we have to have at least three serviceable QB's. When someone breaks GMAC in half, we would turn to the true freshman who may then show he's not ready for prime time. With no more QBs left, we run out an Offensive Lineman to take snaps.

I haven't looked at it too closely, but I'm somewhat worried about our edge rusher depth. We lost like 5 to the portal and only added 2 at that position.

If we break all our QBs, we just run wildcat for the rest of the season. Throw in some trickeration and we'll definitely win a NC.
