Harrison is a body. Need a TE
I really like the idea of using Gentle at TE--- the kid is very athletic and certainly big enoughNot for nothing but I feel like if the staff didn't think Harrison couldnt contribute in some capacity, he would've been encouraged to portal out. Now, I'm not saying you want him as a starter, but I think him being in the program two years now, he should be more than serviceable as a #3 tight end.
Especially considering we often times use Carson Gentle as an H-back. Gentle might get the nudge to tight end this offseason, since he doesn't contribute on defense.
Yes and he will now be a 3rd year player by the season starts. Wouldn't be shocked if he's a solid little TE.Not for nothing but I feel like if the staff didn't think Harrison couldnt contribute in some capacity, he would've been encouraged to portal out. Don't think we're taking enough on the DL. Feeling the same this year as I did last year. Take more.Yep. I think last year and overall recruiting was proven they didn’t a lot right and they switched it up. An they heavily invested in getting better players, evals, and attacking the portal. I don’t think they do well with QB but that’s about it from the portal. They are going to land more DBs and a DT before it closes.
I hear you, but we just produced one of the most prolific trio of WRs in the SEC in the last decade.I think as the days go by, the angrier I get just because we really didn’t have a plan at QB other than throwing money at Sorsby, Ty, or Leavitt. I don’t know, maybe once you see that TTech, LSU, etc are also wanting them, maybe back out and not waste a week.
Quit wasting your time on these dudes that will continue to drag you around. You could’ve called Alonzo, offered him 1mil and we’d have our QB right now.
2 years in a row now. WRs last season, QBs this season.
I think that’s fine, and it means the coaches see potential in Campbell and Utley. I think both will be more ready to contribute next year once they spend a year in the weight room. Both played at less than 300lbs last year. I expect Campbell to be about 310, and Utley 300 by August. Should make a big difference.Seems to me that we are all in on Mathis and are done at DT. I am only making an assumption based on not targeting any more players on the DL. We clearly are more heavily targeting CB.
I would argue the supporting cast was better for Nico. Thornton, Squirrel, and Bru, along with this years trio. Sampson and Bishop at RB. The problem was the Nico was (and stil is) a 1 read qb and he would flee the pocket at the first sign of trouble.
So is the freshman (Wolf), IMO. I don't expect much out of him. The European portal experiment hasn't really provided us with valuable contributors. Jakob Johnson was decent at Tennessee, though he carved out a nice off-the-radar NFL career at a completely different position on the other side of the ball.Harrison is a body. Need a TE
Been at it for 40 years, have 5 humidors and just recently have cut back to one a week.Turned 80 in November and decided if I want to continue to play golf I had to forfeit something, choice was booze or cigars, booze won.If you’re new to cigars (which I basically am - only been enjoying for about 5 years ) then I’d recommend going to cigars international dot com and finding some good deals on sampler packs. Find the ones you enjoy the most before spending serious money on them.
I could recommend some that I enjoy but everyone’s tastes are different.
You may need a small humidifier.
Put together, bourbon and sticks have the net effect of turning my 56 into 80.Been at it for 40 years, have 5 humidors and just recently have cut back to one a week.Turned 80 in November and decided if I want to continue to play golf I had to forfeit something, choice was booze or cigars, booze won.![]()
I fear that our lack of DT visitors may end up being a thorn in our side this season. Have you heard anything about what the strategy might be there? And trusting boo. Terrible decision. Plus should have taken more in case McCoy wasn’t ready and he wasn’t and then did what was best for him and train for the draft.
