Seems to me that we are all in on Mathis and are done at DT. I am only making an assumption based on not targeting any more players on the DL. We clearly are more heavily targeting CB.

Not for nothing but I feel like if the staff didn't think Harrison couldnt contribute in some capacity, he would've been encouraged to portal out. Now, I'm not saying you want him as a starter, but I think him being in the program two years now, he should be more than serviceable as a #3 tight end.

Especially considering we often times use Carson Gentle as an H-back. Gentle might get the nudge to tight end this offseason, since he doesn't contribute on defense.

I really like the idea of using Gentle at TE--- the kid is very athletic and certainly big enough

Yes and he will now be a 3rd year player by the season starts. Wouldn't be shocked if he's a solid little TE.

Don't think we're taking enough on the DL. Feeling the same this year as I did last year. Take more.

I hear you, but we just produced one of the most prolific trio of WRs in the SEC in the last decade.

I think that’s fine, and it means the coaches see potential in Campbell and Utley. I think both will be more ready to contribute next year once they spend a year in the weight room. Both played at less than 300lbs last year. I expect Campbell to be about 310, and Utley 300 by August. Should make a big difference.

I think running backs for Nico were better. But I think Matthews > Thornton as homerun option, Staley>Bru possession receiver, and Squirrel>????? I would love to see Keys make a big splash.

In regards to Nico being a 1 read QB, he was still a freshman. I never expected him to be quick thru progressions that first year. However, he did have benefit of being a decent runner when he had to.

His legs did bail him out at times.

Overall, I think our passing game is in better spot at current, but who knows what the rest of the portal window gives us.

So is the freshman (Wolf), IMO. I don't expect much out of him. The European portal experiment hasn't really provided us with valuable contributors. Jakob Johnson was decent at Tennessee, though he carved out a nice off-the-radar NFL career at a completely different position on the other side of the ball.

I feel like LSU is about to flop so hard. Too many transfers coming in all probably having drastically different offers. It’s one thing for a respectable coach to manage all that and don’t let it effect the culture, but we’re taking about Lane Kiffin. 💀 this **** is gonna blow up in his face.

Been at it for 40 years, have 5 humidors and just recently have cut back to one a week.Turned 80 in November and decided if I want to continue to play golf I had to forfeit something, choice was booze or cigars, booze won. 😁

Put together, bourbon and sticks have the net effect of turning my 56 into 80. 😫

I fear that our lack of DT visitors may end up being a thorn in our side this season. Have you heard anything about what the strategy might be there?
