I gotcha. His overall winning percentage is .686 and Heupel's is .723. Not intending to implyJH doesn't deserve criticism, his game and clock management have to improve, but he hasn't done bad considering the situation he walked into either.

Agreed! I think Lane has gotten better the older he's gotten, even though he's a huge doucher. Lane is adapting to the new age CF, not so sure Heupel is. You've gotta be cutthroat these days, unfortunately. I just don't know that Heupel will ever be able to adapt to being more of a doucher. Hope I'm wrong, I want him to win here and be here a long time.

I think as the days go by, the angrier I get just because we really didn’t have a plan at QB other than throwing money at Sorsby, Ty, or Leavitt. I don’t know, maybe once you see that TTech, LSU, etc are also wanting them, maybe back out and not waste a week.



Quit wasting your time on these dudes that will continue to drag you around. You could’ve called Alonzo, offered him 1mil and we’d have our QB right now.

Every person, athlete or not, that says "god is calling me to do x" is just doing what they want to do anyway and using that to justify it. I've never known anyone that has been "called by god" to do something inconvenient.

If we bring in a QB and have a true 3-way qb battle, that can only help our team imo. Also, I feel like gmac can run our offense just fine, but I think if it was a true qb battle that FB would win it

Heup doesn't dousche because he doesn't have a p***y like Lane.

All of Heupel's success here has directly happened in the portal era and almost entirely because of players we have gotten in the portal. You don't have to have narcissistic personality disorder like Lane, to do well in the portal lol.

We could have 1 if we really wanted one. But I think:

1. We didn't want to run off Bishop by bringing in a guy that would be getting paid more than him and would be projected to start over him

2. That means that we are looking a depth RB, and depth RBs are a dime a dozen. No need to overpay for a guy like this. If you miss one, there are another 10 available.

Tired of reading that we didn't have a plan at QB. None of us know what the "plan" was/is. However, I can tell you one thing I've learned in life, It's not going to be the way you "planned it".

It is possible the comfort level our staff has in our projected 3 deep is not enticing quality guys to join the room. Bet we add a developmental guy with a high ceiling hoping he gets a year before being needed. Outsiders have more respect for Bishop than our internal star watchers who will never get over his initial walk-on status.

I'm not completely convinced that we aren't trying to walk someone into the portal at the last minute (whether it's a P4 or FCS guy) to make sure GMac doesn't enter the portal at the last minute

Well there's several examples, Moses for one.
But I agree with you. He should have said, "God came to me in a dream and he was standing over a dumpster fire with Alabama written on it and He was holding a big bag of cash with my name on it."

Al Davis drafted Jemarcus Russell 1st overall, drafted a kicker in the first round, and had a ton of other questionable draft/roster moves. It seems like his son is just following in the same footsteps.

There are a lot of meddling owners out there. They think because they have money, they're all knowing. Jerry Jones is a prime example.
