THANK YOU! I miss the panic in this thread. We need more pot stirring, and there’s no one better at it than you. This place has become boring in the last 48 hours. Finally, someone that gets it. We should all be panicking. I'm pretty sure the sky is falling.
It's also possible I'm having an acid flashback, but either way, panic is in order.
Where do you get this information, because it sounds absolutely idiotic. I am trying to picture a situation in which the number 1 QB recruit in the country is thinking/saying "man, I really don't want a chance at competing for a starting spot next year and what I am really worried about is making sure I have a full 5 years of college eligibility", because that is what it would mean. He very well may redshirt next year but him "wanting" to redshirt before he even arrives seems very suspect.Brandon wants to redshirt, and this staff knew that. Don’t complain if things don’t go well next year since you did not seem to think we needed a QB.
Not that it changes anything but Leavitt was at highest Plan B. Plan A was Ty Simpson, and even he might have been Plan B. The point being, there was a decent plan. It didn't work. Not the first time. We'll be OK, with or without an unhealthy degree of VN freak outs. We made it to the playoffs with a RFR with no more experience than GMac. We'll score some points with him.Nah, if he goes 8-5 next season, fans will be unhappy, but he'll get 2027, albeit on a hot seat. He has to make the playoffs again sometime in the next two seasons. If he fails to do that, we probably have a coaching search. Probation ends before the '28 season, so a new coach would come in with a clean slate.
But we should all hope he figures it out because we really don't need another coaching search.
People can and will disagree, but GMac was not the original plan. He's the pivot because we whiffed on portal guys. I hope he's ready to carry this team, but we wouldn't have pursued Leavitt if GMac was first choice. I would not be surprised if Heupel is still hoping Joey gets his injunction. People don't like it when it's said Heupel had no plan at QB, so let's put it in perspective. Heupel's Plan A, Leavitt, failed. Heupel's Plan B, getting Joey another year, is unresolved and uncertain. I don't know if GMac is Plan C or further down the alphabet, but he was not first choice. That said, he could still shine next season. We have no idea how he develops over the off season. Definitely a high stakes gamble on Heupel's part.
OL is gonna have to be solid to protect GMac. I've already stated my low confidence in them. I hope I'm wrong. I hope they prove me wrong. But if they do struggle next year, I hope Heupel replaces best bud Elarbee before going into '27.
Also hope our guys catch on to Knowles defense quickly. The Penn State transfers should help with that. I hope next year's DL is better than this year's, which got very little push against the good teams. Still think we need a few more bodies there, and the guys we have need to get stronger.
Which brings me tof S&C coach. I hope we move quickly next week to secure someone and get them started on the off-season program.
That dude’s been on ignore for a bit for me. He’s one of the worst to do it and a long hauler at that. Should have honed his skill by now. Friggen slacker @Legion of Doom.I love when people get drunk and rage post here,![]()
There’s a lesson to be learned here. He needs to follow @Voltrolla or something like that. @butchna knows who I’m talking about. Dude knew how to do it.Nah, that dude is the mayor of troll ville. Drunk people in here are smarter than that.
I still fish about 100 yards past boat ramp. It’s just a little further down Netherland Inn Rd past River Front. I’ve used Shinners and Creek minnows my hole life and caught lunkers all up and down that whole river bank.i've broken a fly rod fishing woolhead sculpins there at longs island. i'm a red neck fly fisherman, don't carry scales, nets, or boga. his mouth was three knuckles wide, and 'plum' down to my st croix fighting butt. i'd say easily 4 lbs. people can't appreciate the sheer volume of water in that area. it really is a dangerous place to fish.
next best spot is christian's bend.

G Mac stepping up as a leader and preparing like he's going to be the guy is a good sign no matter what we do with that 3rd QB spot.
I just want to remind people that we were very high on MacIntyre after the orange and white game. This kid can run this offense. There's maybe two bad passes in this video. He has great instincts, makes great decisions, has great touch on his passes. Go get a Gaston Moore and just let George cook
3rd Shift!I've been on the let GMAC play train since the end of season but all I hear is " he is to skinny" .. yes, he needs to put on a pound or two but this to skinny thing is blown out of proportion. A 220 pound QB can get hurt just as quick as a 200 pound QB...
