G Mac stepping up as a leader and preparing like he's going to be the guy is a good sign no matter what we do with that 3rd QB spot.

That picture definitely doesn't help disprove the narrative that he hasn't gained any weight since being at UT.

I really want us to roll with him next year but I can understand the staff's hesitation. He won't last more than 2-3 games into SEC play next year at that size.

QB TJ Finley will play at Incarnate World, an FCS school, next season. That will be his seventh program in seven years.

He originally signed with LSU as part of the 2020 class.

Because he played through the abridged COVID-19-impacted season as a true freshman, the year did not count against his eligibility.

Transferred to Auburn, appeared in nine games in 2021, and four in 2022, before suffering an injury and redshirting the rest of the season.

Transferred to Texas State, where he enjoyed his best season in 2023, passing for 3,439 yards and 24 touchdowns. However, Texas State signed Arizona transfer Jayden de Laura to be its starter the following offseason. Finley left. I havent pursued a trout stream in a serious fashion, with the intent in catching a fish in a long time. Years. Ive walked up to them, rod in hand, and lost interest.

Same. Used to fly fish all the time. Issue these days is will need glasses to tie those lil fu#@e#s on. Takes me about 3 tries to tie a rooster tail on these days.

No, but I don't go bashing a guy that said something that I don't agree with just because it didn't to happen to fit with the narrative that I have in my mind without some sort of refuting evidence. I can't stand the sound if Basilio's voice, but I do read his blog occasionally and he is right way more often than he is wrong. You don't stay on the air for 30 years without some reliable sources.

I really, really, am rooting for Gmac. A lot of people forget his commitment video. I don’t remember the exact wording, but it was something along the lines of “I was born (destined?) to be the quarterback at Tennessee.” I’d rather have a guy with that kind of heart giving his all than anything else. Get a body at QB, then let this kid show us what he can do.

Yep and Deboer was after McIntyre too. I want him to play ball at UT and I think he's earned the right to be going into the spring as QB1. We need a 3rd qb but I don't think we need a $6 million rental.

I get it. For me the prep has already started on prespawn smallmouth. I’m hell bent on getting a 22” river smallie on fly….21” is my best currently with about 4-5 more at 20”. I’m going to put myself through it this year to get that 22….may take a couple of years and a lot of miles to do it. Hard to grow them that big in a river. That’s a bonafide 10+year old fish.
