2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

He "signed" but envision those smaller school deals could be overcome. Credit @TrippieRedd - Lamson probably checks the most boxes in the budget isle. Eget would be in that mix, but not mobility.

Would prefer Ah Yat from Montana over Lamson. However, Ah Yat’s not leaving Montana this year. His dad was backup QB on their 95 championship team and starter for their 96 runner up team.

No offense to AP, but I don’t think he or VQ have their fingers on the pulse of this portal stuff. I’m sure they know more than me, and I’m not saying the bits they are throwing out don’t have any predictive value, but I wouldn’t draw many strong conclusions based on their statements.

It's all fluid in the end. Things change by the HOUR. And when you present that info you're setting yourself up to look wrong.

Yall hate Danny White if you want but I’m of the opinion that our recruiting would be a lot worse right now without him.

You gotta have money in the portal and he’s using every trick he can to stockpile as much as possible to give us a chance.

It’s an ugly job and I’m glad I don’t have to do it. Would yall rather go back to Fulmer? How about Mike Hamilton?
The kind of preaching we need ty

Jmo, I believe our strategy was:

1) Ty Simpson (NFL)

2) Brendan Sorsby (by the time they had something concrete on Simpson going pro, Sorsby had already picked TT)

3) Sam Leavitt (dollar amount got too high + kid was dead set on going to LSU)

4) Now. Evaluating others.

5) I'm probably wrong.
We were willing to pay for Leavitt but he wanted to go to LSU (parents and agent preferred UT). And Kiffin was willing to spend all of their NIL on him if it came to it. QB info is very tight lipped which makes me think there may be others out there we're back channeling or staff is really evaluating (even from the FCS division).
