Again, it isnt really fear of GMac, the talent, leaving. It is the fear of GMac, the body, leaving. Simply replacing him with Longstreet, or any other high-level multi-year QB just leaves you back at square one in 2026 with 2 QBs. That's where we are now, so just roll with what you've got.

Sure, if you can convince two guys. My guess is that one is just a warm body, at best.

My point is that you only recruit a guy like Longstreet if you believe he's an absolute upgrade on GMac. Maybe he is, but he's a year behind in experience in the system. In that case, you have 3 QBs going into 2026 who will have one spring practice under their belt. With that in mind, one of those guys has to be a clear upgrade over GMac.
