2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

I have no problem signing Pribula - He has SEC experience, can run and create plays, etc. I also think Heupel can make the offense work with Pribula.

Having said that, there is no way I am ok with paying him 2.5m. I'd give him what the other QBs on the roster make and make it an open competition. Maybe give him an incentivized contract that gives him a bump if he finishes with a 10 to 1 TD-interception ratio or something. But no way I'd just offer him 2.5m.

There are exactly zero teams left that need a QB that would give him more than 2m.
For Pribula it's opportunity costs. He might be willing to take 2.5 million and an open competition, but he could be guaranteed starter at VA for what you are quoting.

Performance bonus is pay to play, not legal according to NCAA

Maybe, and I'll trust the coaches on this one, but I have a hard time with 2.5. That's 1m more than JA made last year. For a guy that might hold a clipboard all year.
