I really think you read things wrong, or maybe we both read each other wrong, regardless we are grown men and I will be first to say no hard feelings from me..…The question asked was if we thought Kiffin struck out since Chambliss lost his appeal….My thought was no he lost out before the appeal when Chambliss decided to stay at Ole Ms regardless of the appeal...No. You were initially responding to another poster that knew more about the situation than you did (that Chambliss wasn’t coming back because he lost his appeal). I was trying to help you out by providing info that you didn’t appear to know - Chambliss has no eligibility left because he lost his appeal.
The removal of eligibility limits will be the actual death of college sports. If this ruling allows him to play, the next one is going to be anyone enrolled can play as long as they are enrolled. And it’s going to be argued that it should be a career. This is the last line of defense before it is actually irreparably ruined. Why do you hate Tennessee?
If you’re in his shoes it would be hard to turn down. Easiest schedule and path to the playoffs. Had the top pick in last year’s draft. Get to make millions while living in South Beach. Currently playing for National Championship. That’s a lot to turn down.It doesn't mean a lot, but all the sentiment is Leavitt to Miami.
If it helps us, I'm for a one-time allowance. We deserve good things. The removal of eligibility limits will be the actual death of college sports. I know how this back and forth originated. I was actually wondering if you did. I think your interpretation of things is just flat out 100% wrong. Lane didn’t strike out on Chambliss because it is impossible to strike out recruiting a player with NO eligibility, and Chambliss had no remaining eligibility. Even his statemet that he would return to Ole Miss was contingent on winning an appeal. When he said he would return to play at Ole Miss next year, he had no eligibility to play next year, so how is it possible for another team to miss out on him?I really think you read things wrong, or maybe we both read each other wrong, regardless we are grown men and I will be first to say no hard feelings from me..…The question asked was if we thought Kiffin struck out since Chambliss lost his appeal….My thought was no he lost out before the appeal when Chambliss decided to stay at Ole Ms regardless of the appeal...
But, I am sure others on this board would appreciate us moving on, so lets just be Vol friends.
