2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

We literally tampered with Carnell Tate last year
That was last year. Apparently, things have changed. I think it was SF that said we wait to be contacted by agents rather than being the ones to make contact.

So we're up to 3 commits now?

What now for Tennessee in the portal?

It’s been a busy first few days of portal season for the Vols with several visitors on campus.
With former Kansas State defensive back Qua Moss, LSU offensive tackle Ory Williams and Lee now committed to Tennessee, the Vols look to close on a few more recent visitors who have been on campus. Penn State edge Chaz Coleman, Penn State defensive tackle Xavier Gilliam, Oregon State guard Dylan Sikorski, Pittsburgh defensive tackle Francis Brewu, Kansas safety Lyrik Rawls and Louisiana Lafayette running back Zylan Perry were all on campus this week.
Tennessee is also expected to host Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt and Slippery Rock cornerback Kayne Thompson beginning Wednesday evening.
Austin Price has also listed several names Tennessee could show interest in trying to get to campus for a visit this week, a list that includes Louisville kicker Cooper Ranvier, Penn State linebacker Amare Campbell, Alabama EDGE Qua Russow, Alabama defensive lineman James Smith and Penn State safety Dejuan Lane.

AP. Shares. Opinions.

He doesn’t know the portal strategy.

He doesn’t know who we target until they’re visiting.

It’s like Colin Cowherd criticizing a professional sports organization for how they run their business.
You really don’t like AP do you! Did he spit at you or something?

Every time a post mentions AP you chime in. Always negative.

Of all the people that cover Tenn sports he has generally been very good. In the portal especially it changes 180 in a blink of an eye.

Will ask again, Eric...

In what ways are coaching staff making things painful for you guys?

Sincere question about your post from yesterday.
It’s all good by painful I meant more on us as fans than between NIL/staff.

We just vet players fit in our culture/specific needs more than just go super aggressive moving quick to snag players fast.

Leads to a high success rate but we may limit our opportunities somewhat.

Oregon State OL transfer Dylan Sikorski 'liked it all' during visit to Tennessee

Tennessee hosted Oregon State transfer Dylan Sikorkski on Wednesday, and following the visit, he detailed the brief stop on Rocky Top with Volquest.

“I liked it all,” Sikorski said of the visit. “The coaches were great all day. It has been great all-around.”
Sikorski’s parents were also in town with him, and they joined the visit as well.

“My mom and dad love it here, I think,” he said of this. “They were enjoying it a lot. I think they loved the coaches and the opportunity I have here, too.”

Sikorski connected with Tennessee offensive line coach Glen Elarbee during the brief visit as well.

“Coach Elarbee is great,” Sikorski said of this. “I love his style of coaching. We really went over his coaching style and how he manages players and coaches player, and it is great.”

Sikorski was also impressed by Tennessee Head Coach Josh Heupel as well during the visit.

“I loved him, it was great,” he said of this. “It was cool. We spent time in his office talking. We were just talking about the university and what he likes about it and what I would enjoy about it.”

Sikorski learned more about his fit along the offensive line as well.

“They have one guard spot that I can just battle for,” Sikorski said of this. “They want me to come in and play for it.”
Sikorski has already visited Arkansas and is headed to Texas following his visit to Knoxville. So where do things stand with Vols?

“I love it here,” he said. “We will see what Texas brings to the table and what is different.”

Sikorski said he plans to make a decision following the visit to Texas.

“Definitely the coaches mostly. If I like the coaches more at Texas than I like the coaches here, then that is going to be pretty high on the list, but I don’t know if I will or not. I see this option as a great option. I feel like it is going to be a battle no matter what. You want to be around good players. It is a competition, and I want to be the best, so whoever is in front of me or trying to start over me, then it is what it is.”

Sikorski has three years of eligibility left at the school of his choosing.
