I don’t make the rules . It’s an entertainment product . Yes people would care and watch more if Vandy, South Carolina or Iowa went deep into the CFP bc it means they would’ve done what Indiana is doing, beating Oregon, Ohio State and Alabama. Texas Texas Tech is beating BYU and TCU and getting thumped by Oregon.
We’re close to the middle. Yall act like teams are going and spending hundreds of millions of dollars on football rosters, someone literally compared it to pro baseball. This board is so dramatic. TTU hasn’t even signed a top 10 class, Indiana hasn’t signed a top 20. Nothing is stopping teams from targeting experienced transfers over recruits. Hell Indiana’s transfer class wasn’t even top 20 and signed only 3 4*’sYou know there is a middle right?
Buyout. Interesting.Listening to Brian Rice and Ainge this morning. Brian is pretty up on this stuff. Evidently Washington runs all NIL through their AD so they own both his revenue sharing and NIL rights. He can't sign either with a new school unless Washington let's him out. He said WA fully intends to enforce his contract. He said they may let him buy his way out of it.
Not sure the amount is the biggest issue but rather an annual wholesale free agency. We’re close to the middle. Which is why the only solution is congressional action. I saw Saban talk about this and he point blank stated that without congressional action anything the powers to be came up would be defeated in court. I know we hate him but he has a pretty good understanding of the issues in college football. They kept losing in court all the time. That's why.
What do 'nads' have to do with it?

If they pay him that much he won’t sit regardless of how well the others do.The two obvious problems with Leavitt is the high cost and the fact that he's probably not going to be cleared for practice until fall camp. At this point, it certainly feels like Joey getting cleared for another season and coming back would be ideal. He's going to still throw more picks than we're used to, but I don't see how he isn't better after a full offseason at UT.
Now watch us sign Leavitt for $3 or $4 million, him sit out Spring, GMac or Faizon have an incredible Spring where they take the reins, and then Leavitt sit out the season.
