I don't have any thing to add. I don't want to be critical of josh. again this is a career defining portholio for him. It's hard to see him bring successful past this this season, it just gets too hard from here. you cannot go into an offseason with zero plan, and lose more defensive players off your bad defense than you're adding. it's simple numbers

Yeah I think we all want Josh to succeed. I really like him as a coach and am really grateful for what he has done for our university. None of this offseason makes sense and it is has been really hard to watch.

3) this kind of pivot makes me wonder if the defensive board blew up so badly that Heupel feels he needs to go all out offensively.

The Simpson news is likely fluid with an indeterminate timeline, just as it is with Joey. Would it not be a good idea to shake the Leavitt tree? It’s not a pivot if he has a no contact but reached out to them, is it?… so to recap, you don’t like having the #1 portal player visit, got it…

We have heard talk about this one for over a month. We weren't sure it was going to happen, but if it did, we were told Ross is expected to have Alabama on his short list. Another source near Ross said getting closer to home would be ideal for him and a goal.

I think things will continue to be chaotic. Ross met coaches and everyone seemed optimistic. I think it’s hard to not test the portal at these prices. I don’t have new information, but I still think he could return if we can match the money. Who knows.

It sounds like he (his agent) sees the prices skyrocketing and now their asking price has gone up.

Exactly. I think they got the Washington kid to enter the portal and told Leavitt to kick rocks. Leavitt was a desperation move. They don’t really want him but they felt he was the best option left currently in the portal. They didn’t get Chambliss, Sorsby or Underwood and they panicked.

I didn't say he was, just that if option 1 wasn't there, I'd rather have Joey than the guy that risked his college career over a pickup basketball game (allegedly) and who won't be able to take spring reps with his teammates.

I'm not gonna vouch for Sooner, but if you're questioning Stoerner, you haven't paid a lick of attention. No one just gets that lucky on the stuff he's called, and he's been doing it here for a long time.

I just wanted to keep Ross and Hobbs. Hopefully we keep Hobbs. Ross was the best pure pass rusher on the team last year.
