Very few kickers in college football that will meet the fans expectations of an NFL kicker at Tennessee. Reality is that in most years only 1-2 college kickers make an NFL roster and our fans expect our kicker to perform at an NFL level. The Baltimore Ravens would take Max Gilbert at this point.

I think most fans expect 45 and in to be near automatic, and they should. Hell, the only kick I missed in HS was from 47. It isn't that difficult. The only time you miss as a kicker is nerves or you mess up on your steps, plant, or open your hips to early. If you practice a ton, and stay out of your own head then it is easy.

Experienced depth is dead in college football now. Depth now comes from first and second year players now. You don't go to the portal to get depth. That's what the high school recruits are being counted on to do. You go to the portal for plug and play starters who will make an immediate impact like Wendell Moe last year.

You in fact, read incorrectly. Several recruits here Sunday and Monday. Yesterday morning he took the jet to Martin to visit some 2027 kids and also presumably to meet with the Simpsons (Ty Simpson)
