2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Curious to me that VQ has not mentioned either AJ Harris, Elliot Washington, or Aaron Scott in any of their write ups.

@SoonerAndVol has made it sound like we're pretty close to landing them.
As well as Keaton Thomas and you saw how that played out. I wouldn’t put much stock into someone who just joined a month ago. You been here long enough to know that lol

He said something about Sherman yesterday and committed shortly after to another school.

Not implying he is fake or anything. Just thought it was interesting.

Is AP fake because he said Thomas was visiting us today and 20 minutes later he committed to Ole Miss.

I'm not vouching for @SoonerAndVol as I don't know him and he's new here, but he's given some good info it seems and if you read his back story.... if its fake, he at least went through the time and effort to make it elaborate and believable.

I’m about to get blasted but I actually think Telander can be very effective in a JK defense. You just have to take him out in obvious passing situations. I personally think he was a victim of a terrible defensive scheme. Fire away everyone.
He is just bad in pass defense and other teams started taking advantage of that. Maybe JK can scheme him into good situations or coach him up to get into better position. Hopefully he can if not Perlotte and Spillman will pass him up.

I agree with Jayson Swain. Elarbee is an asset in the run game, but pass protection and O line development is an issue. If we could fix that, the offense would be fine IMO.
Issues in pass protection showed up more later in the season. I think that has more to do with playing starters that are banged up because they're reluctant to play the backups. That reluctance also hurts development. I think Elarbee is at least a decent coach and that the main issue could just be that he (and Heupel as well) are scared to play more guys on the o-line.

I hope the Aaron Scott interest is legit. He was potentially starting at OSU next season

Santa, I’ve been a good boy this year and I don’t ask for much, but please let us sign all those visitors.
We shouldn't let them leave without signing.
Don't take "no" or "I still want to look around" for an answer.
Don't make an offer to a kid and allow him to go shop it against other programs.

Offers you can't refuse for every kid that visits.

Don't believe the players "handlers" will advice them to sign during initial visit... Some may but most will shop around.

I see this all the time and while it’s great in theory, what kind of realistic expectation is this for EVERY visitor we have? It’s just not a real world expectation IMO.

Also, what do you expect the coaches to do? If they leave without signing, take their offer off the table?

Looked flat footed a lot in that bowl game and others.
